    no embarrassment. lad was given a trial, performed and earned a contract. he has ability and came up through some good clubs. in these Covid and financial times clubs just don't hand out contracts to anyone. just because his name is Wright and he has a history in the limelight doesn't mean he doesn't deserve a chance to impress like everyone else. good luck to the lad.

    I would display caution with the thinking “Earned a contract”, it’s a funny old world football. He has connections at Crawley - his ability certainly didn’t attract anyone else. I’d like to think people support successful stories like Staunton more than folk playing at it. I would think all league two players agree.

    crawley don't have money to burn, covid is rife.. other players wouldn't accept someone coming in who didn't earn it. you're doing the lad a dis-service.

    Some would argue that's all Zesh Recame became in the end. How on earth he was made captain beggars belief.

    And before I get hit with the cheap shots, name me another captain that was hooked at half time twice within the space of weeks yet still retained his shirt and the captaincy?

    I remember Notts County away when they smashed us 5-0 I think it was, in no mans land let the ball bounce over his head and the striker run through on goal and finished it. Think it was one of the only games I've left early in!

    Horrific player.
