I certainly think he built a team and behind the scenes the club wasn't being built at the same speed.
There was very little scouting network/scouting software etc. The scouting network was Parky and his team.

Fair play to Sparks who is building the club off the pitch. I don't think the same thing could happen now.

Didn't the fans raise money for some renowned scouting software/service and presented it to him at an event?

If you say so. I don't remember that.
I think Parky used Tim Breaker to do some scouting but I believe he was a consultant rather than being employed by the club.
Parky was the scouting network with support from his team.
The infrastructure just wasn't there, like Sparks has put in place.

If your scouting network is the Management team and the Management team leave, the club shouldn't have been surprised when there wasn't a lot of info left.

He would certainly be I my top 5 managers I've seen during my time watching Bradford City, I always though no matter who the opposition were a Parky team could always get a result, obviously the Capital Cup and FA Cup runs were extra special IMO.

As stated, Parky was the scouting network with a bit of support.
The club didn't have analysts / head of recruitment / nationwide scouting network like it does now.
If Parky is the scouting network, then he leaves, you can't be surprised if there's not a lot left.

    @wetherbywhaler@wetherbywhaler please tell us more.

We are referring to intellectual property here I guess. Where it was stored and when/ how it was gathered could be key.

You could say PP was just looking after himself by taking the data with him and feathering his own NOTLOB nest. No different to Morais looking after himself and feathering his own nest I guess?

Both great servants of the club-that I agree with.

Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds come across as a little naive with regards football, no matter how much money they have saying they can't believe clubs can climb out of non league football right up to the Premier League, one of their first expenses was relaying a new pitch because the original one they laid was not up to scratch, they are going to have to be prepared sink loads of money into Wrexham to achieve their dream.

To be fair to the Wrexham public, they are getting 10k every week, and due to the Kop end being under redevelopment they can't really fit anymore people in the ground. The public are backing them as much as they can do.

They could afford to miss out every year as their owners see it as a play thing. The only problem is if they get bored

The two owners are there for the long term. They'be been the best thing the club and the town could ever have hoped for, the publicity of the area and the team on the back of the TV series has gone through the roof. The series itself is an excellent watch, puts a perspective on the game that some are blind to, that players are human beings with feelings and emotions, not just a shirt running round a pitch for 90 minutes on a weekend.

At least with Wrexham there is an end game. You pump some money in, the fans come, the team becomes successful everyone gets a boost.

If you look at Salford. You pump some money in, no one cares, the teams becomes successful, still no one cares.

Wrexham on the back of this could become a successful League 1 club or higher getting 15k a week. Salford will never get anyone and is more of a vanity project.

These guys ain't daft, Reynolds in particular is an incredibly successful business man. Just reading that the TV deal brought in around £3 million dollars in revenue, pretty much clearing their initial investment. 100s of thousands of followers on their social media sites and internationally known sponsors. This has a real chance of progressing to the championship if they get the results right as the plan behind it has a realistic chance of working long term.
