I’d be more concerned about the powers trying to do away with democracy, rather than the ‘nuclear war’ bluster from a useful idiot.

Aye, expect the nuclear war rhetoric to be ramped up now the government needs some new headlines to replace the current ones.

NATO will never again be able to claim it is a defensive organisation as it supplies billions of dollars in Arms and trains Ukrainian troops even though they are not a member to not only defend but also to attack Russia. They claim it is not NATO but individual members but hold meetings of members to agree the support needed so they are clearly involved

Just remind me since I've clearly forgotten. When has Ukraine attacked Russia with NATO supplied weapons?

I'm aware that Ukraine has attacked Russian troops on its own territory who have illegally invaded their country just as any country would. Certainly and there is no secret in this, Ukraine has attacked the invaders who are within Ukraine's borders with weapons supplied by NATO members. What's wrong with that? If Russia were to stop the invasion and return its troops to their own country then the crisis created by Russia would go away.

A simple google search of civilians killed by NATO will tell you that NATO is not a 'defensive' army/organisation.

When, or if this war ever does come to a conclusion, i wonder who gets the spoils of victory? Cos Ukraine have got one massive aid package to pay off. And how exactly will that 'debt' be paid off? Lets face it, war is down to economics at the end of the day and theres untold riches been made out of this conflict. A lot of countries have taken advantage by getting rid of old near obsolete stock like Britain with the old scorpions for example. And these countries have been buying up new tanks, fighting vehicles, howitzers to replace them, its like Christmas has come early for the weapons manufacturers.

Soldiers do not win wars factories do, The side that can produce more weapons will always win,(War Factories Programme) This will be tight though as the big hitters in NATO are supplying Ukraine, Russia has retreated to a position it can hold over winter while replacing weapons lost while also hitting Ukraine's infrastructure including power and water hoping to erode the will to fight before the next offensive

"It's amazing how many problems you can solve once you are no longer tethered to reality."

A great line from the linked video by Perun, who has put out a by-now lengthy series of detailed analyses of the war, all of which are well worth viewing. This one talks about the Russian culture of lying, vranyo, and how that has contributed to the Potemkin army that now passes for the Russian army, as well as how it may have influenced the decisions made by Putin himself.

The piece is an hour long, but if you have the time I highly recommend it and the rest of his works.

Executive summary: Garbage In, Garbage Out.

Vranyo means you tell people, especially your superiors, what they want to hear rather than what they need to hear. But decision-makers need the truth, or their decisions will be bad: you order an assault because all the reports say that your units are at full strength, the men are all excellent shots, the vehicles are all in good working order, the enemy is weak and their location is poorly defended...and then you get hammered, because all that information was actually wrong.

With the amount of available social media and up to the minute worldwide media reports it would be foolish to imagine Putin is been fooled by his military as to the state of events. What is obvious now to Putin is the state of the Russian army and how far it has fallen behind the west in technology in arms and troop training. It is a lesson that will not be ignored

you honestly think Ukraine would deliberately fire a missile into Poland? As Storck says, if not already, they’ll know soon enough where it came from.

Poland have confirmed they were Russian made missiles.

As awful as it was, I suspect a stray missile and not an intentional attack on Poland.

NATO has to act with caution over this otherwise we know what happens next

It appears that NATO or rather the Americans are doing exactly that. Their words are that the missile 'wasn't fired FROM Russia' which suggests they want to tone down the NATO response without denying at this stage whether it was a Russian missile or not. I'm sure that Poland and everybody else with surveillamce in the area (inc the UK) know exactly the trajectory of the missile and therefore its origin.

The missile was Ukrainian anti aircraft missile that either went astray or hit a Russian missile and went astray. Interesting this was known last night as a reliable source online gave it's make and chassis/ engine number confirming it was Russian made but was owned by the Ukraine military.
