Can't see Bowyer departing this season but will most certainly be gone by Christmas whichever league we are in its a sobering thought being a L1 side with him at the helm
Personally think we will lose in the play offs (not even a Wembley trip to look forward to) due to negative tactics and being scared senseless of the opposition because they have 11 players who can hurt you
Imagine GBs pre match team talk with Sir Bobby in the team wouldn't like to guess BC response to it

I think we have the squad but I don’t see Bowyer changing. A couple of quality additions in midfield is all it would take even with this coach. We have the defence and we have the goal scorers.

With luck we might scrape into the playoffs but I doubt that. We’ve played 28 games. We still don’t know our best team and our best hope is that the injured players will come back and change everything. It’s a no from me.

 

Indeed - not looking for a tub-thumping statement about how great we are and how we’re gonna stick it to everybody; show a little respect to the opposition but don’t build them up to the point where they can take confidence from our managers statements. I hope it’s different behind closed doors to the players but he really needs to think about the supporters and make an effort to get them on his side. I’d like to see him given a chance based on the circumstances he came into and that he has created a winning team, but not at the expense of another few months of what we’ve been seeing since December. He has the players - if he can’t see that and find a team and formation that gets the best out of them, he should go.

 

Think because he has a 2 year contract the latest a decision made on his future would be the end of the season.

Rhodes shocked me giving him a 2 year contract as it made no sense. Bowyer has worked with 1 year rolling contracts before and that's what I would if offered him.

It's extremely rare for a manager to go into a final year of their contract unsure of the future.

Fan pressure will be too much for Rhodes to to react. Shouts of "Boring Boring Bowyer" have already started, booing has started and soon"we want Bowyer out" will be heard plus season ticket sales won't be going well.

 

We absolutely have to start playing on the offence, and quickly. We have to start having a go at teams and getting a convincing and dominating win. I believe if that happens it sudden lifts players confidence, belief in the team and manager from supporters that we can actually do this.

On the flip side, continue as we are and I sadly don’t see enough to get us through. Donaldson is key for me. The sooner he’s back, the better.

A convincing victory today could really help us kick on.

Think before the season started SR JR &GB would have been happy with stability and a mid to high league finish. As the season has progressed and no disrespect to other teams the fans have realized it's such a poor league and promotion is well within our grasp if only the manager would go for it
This is why the fans are turning on Bowyer (especially at Carlisle) and quite rightly so we have an excellent chance of an instant return to L1 but are being held back by negativity and fear of the opposition sad really

 

Fans aren't daft, they don't want to spend another season in this wretched division as its soul destroying, we can see a nailed on chance of getting out of it could possibly slip away because of a negative game plan. All down to who wants it more in this division.

The fans have the best interests of the club at heart and its soul destroying watching an excellent chance of an instant return slip away due to one mans stubourness and negativity
He will have the chance to go on and manage other clubs ( poor them) the vast majority of fans will be here long after he has gone and should be listened to we are not asking for the earth just a bit of POSITIVETY and attacking flair

Bowyer is shite, he doesn't know his best team and wouldn't know what a good player looks like. His tactics, well, there isn't any.

I can't see the club getting rid of Bowyer whilst were still around the play offs, I think Juilan will have learnt his lesson, and he will be the guy calling the shots with Rupps approval of course.

Bowyer has most of the full squad available today I think both Donaldson and Devitt will start, Pritchard wide on the left but not as a winger Connolly on the right with Donaldson and Doyle up front, the defence takes care of itself.

 

Hope you're right. No excuses not to go for it today with those players back.

 

He's so shite were sitting 5th in the league with a possibility of a top 3 position if we win and other results go for us.

 

Donaldson certainly looked up for it Thursday morning and we know we can depend on the Ginger Pele to put a few away .
