You can't plan if you don't know what product you can sell and when it starts!

Scotland ended the season, did a Sky deal to allow fans to watch all games and have a start date. Season tickets can go on sale.

Womens football season ended and has a start date. TV contract in place. Tickets can go on sale.

Bradford City know nothing. Can't sell season tickets at this minute.

Bradford City = football that's the product on sale, although that has been debatable over the last couple of seasons.

The new season will commence at some time in the future and the product on show will be football, as it has always been.

On what platform? How will fans get to see it?

Starting sometime in the future isn't a good selling message. Needs a date.

They will see it as they have done for many season down at Valley Parade.
Of course we need a date, I'm sure there will be dates being discussed and a starting date will be agreed on maybe when the rest of the EFL have completed the present season.

But we can't wait for that. The Championship won't finish until the end of July/August.

We've Grimsby saying that league 2 can't start without fans.

It's not that simplistic as saying when we need to know what platform and if it will make clubs money. £150 for a season ticket might not be enough now for Bradford City because the club won't have any hospitality, food sales etc. A lot to consider

Plus who is going to pay for the twice a week testing in div 2?

There can be a date put forward and confirmed once the EFL league games have been finalised, I would think at the moment all clubs are planning for different scenarios.
By the time the start is confirmed I'm not sure players will need testing, if restrictions are eased, which has got to be the situation if countries are going to try and get back to anywhere near normal and kick starting economies.

New Zealand are lifting all restrictions from tomorrow but it has zero cases on Covid 19.

New Zealand locked down quickly, got testing right, PPE and track and trace. However, in the UK....

I understand what you're saying but we are months behind New Zealand for example and it wouldn't shock me if we have a second wave here.

Well if we dont get a second wave after the last 2 weekends complete disregard for the governments advice I'd be delighted, although the figures are reducing even acknowledging the weekend numbers are usually on the low side.

It won't be that creates a second wave. We need to get people back into offices and then see what happens. It's that which is more than likely going to create a second wave but we need to find out where we were at now.

New Zealand have had no new cases for 17 days. It will still have its borders closed but we still more concerned about opening borders.

So for me we need to get people back into offices now, crack on and see whats what.

EFL clubs vote for EFL decision to use PPG. play offs(as normal) with promotion and relegation.

Now guess what? Another meeting for div 1 and 2 to decide if they want to end the season.

Looks like a decision we could have made 4 weeks ago but here we are. Let’s get this sorted and let clubs recruit for next season now.

No it's not Fordy. I've been to a few of these in my time. The format is start with all clubs, 71 in this case.
Deal with the main issues, in this case changes to Regulations, how final positions decided, amendments, etc.
Then move to separate Divisional meetings with then a reconvene of all 71 to report and adopt individual decisions. Quite straightforward .

Sound mate.Do you think we will get a next season date today then? Like what happened with the women's league- ended the season then announced date for next.
