I agree, just trying to dispel the idea!

Exactly Park, that's where strong leadership is needed and isn't coming. Only today as some of the EFL requested alternative solutions leak out, the FGR Chairman attacks Tranmere's solution as a cleverly disguised means of Tranmere avoiding relegation. PPG is the only answer as any answer will never satisfy all.

The Tranmere proposal sounds aimed to get the votes. This voting system that clearly doesn't work in situations like this. It just requires leadership.

For those that don't know the Tranmere proposal is the bottom two in league 2 go down(Bolton and Southend as they're miles away from being safe), Coventry go up and those that want to play then play with the PFA paying for testing ha ha ..funny enough teams like Peterborough like the idea ha

It's a mess in the EFL.

The Efl asked for a proposal. Can’t knock Tranmere owners for coming up something. If it doesn’t win the votes so he it but the rest don’t seem to have a clue

Crewe are going up fella. Won't be in L2 next term. Top of the league eh?

I'd have two leagues, 12 team splits and play each other x4.

I put Port Vale in the Southern section. They have to go somewhere being a Midlands team.

You work from closest to north and downwards. That's what they do in non league.

Promotion would be champions and then 2nd to 5th in play offs.

Relegation would be bottom 4 in L1 and wouldn't matter because season 2021/2022 would be back to normal. If it isn't, move teams around accordingly based on location. That's what they do in the NL.

It's fairly simple and an option for next season.

Fordy asked a question. All avenues can be explored. It's a solution and one that has been discussed whether you like it or not.

Don't attempt to shut down debate just because you don't agree. It's extremely arrogant

Agreed, discussed on here, no problem with that. The fact is that it isn't on the radar anywhere else and won't be, hence my comment.
If implemented it shuts down the number of available promotion spots, limiting chances to play higher. In turn, after two or three seasons people will get bored with the lack of different clubs and attendances fall, one of the reasons regionalisation was abandoned in the first place.
Not trying to shut anyone down and definitely not arrogant just saying it as I see it and believe the Authorities see it the same way.

I'm arrogant enough to tell it how it is.

    It's a stupid idea!

It was suggested and discussed as a one year option until fans can return and clubs can gain control of finances. Never a permanent solution

    Would it help clubs financially?
Would it help fans with travel?
Is it a solution so L2 football can continue?

The answer is yes to all. Argue away but I know you can't dispel either of those facts.

So yet another meeting will take place tomorrow to discuss new proposals from clubs.

    These are the proposals:

Barnsley - Basically no relegation to a division that hasn't finished.

Tranmere - 'Margin of error' calculation.

Lincoln - Amendment to the EFL proposal to how points deductions are considered in any calculation of PPG

Ipswich - Requires the EFL board to consult with clubs around alternative play off formats if normal season isn't completed

Stevenage - No relegation from div 2

And after all the delay and messing about, indecision, lack of leadership, etc. Nothing will change
L2 finishes with PPG determining play off places, as already known and planned and Stevenage relegated.
Barrow and Harrogate promoted from NL.
L1 determined on PPG with play offs as L2 with Bolton Southend and Tranmere down, even Southend Chairman says that is the fairest way
Can't predict Championship but Leeds and WBA should go up barring disasters in remaining games which will play out.

Slightly off topic @wetherbywhaler@wetherbywhaler , have you any information when we can re-new our STs . I want to help our club in anyway possible and think reopening sales would be a positive step forward .

When we have a new season date have package for fans.

Can't just put season tickets on sales again without details.

The EFL might be talking to the government to find out when fans can come back and if it's November then the season could just start then like @wetherbywhaler@wetherbywhaler has predicted.

Its called planning , it would be no use trying to sell tickets with a couple of weeks notice or in the run up to Christmas .
