    I believe the one behind Lightowler with the cap on is Bobby Ham and the one at the back looks very much like Charlie Racketraw but he didn't join Avenue till after finishing at City in the late 60s.
    Pat Liney at the back to the right of John Hardie.

    It never deterred some of the better players from making the odd sliding tackle, the scabs on their legs never heald from one game to another.
