40 tickets sold.
Stephen didn't attend but sent a video message.
People seemed to enjoy it.
When the Foundation send me bank details, I'll send then £2450.00
Possibly do another next year at a cheaper (£35-£40) price point.
I was going to do a write up and post via usual social media outlets once the money had been sent.

Sounds delightful - but any chance of changing Haggis, neeps and tatties to a kiosk burger or failing that, the contents of a blocked kop toilet?

The catering costs are out of our hands, as we are using the catering company the club use although I negotiated a discount.
If we sell out, £22.00 of each ticket will go to the Foundation.
Ben Bowers, who will be leading the evening is doing so without charge plus letting us have some quality (although yet to be decided upon) whiskies at cost price.
Taking all this into account, the actual cost of the ticket is around £30.00 including the meal.
And why haggis, neeps and tatties? It's St. Andrews weekend, we're drinking whisky... So why not.
Kilts are not compulsory!

At the same time, with help of the NHS - Just Outside of ROVRUM (Wickersley) are running a joint Cancer, Leukaemia, Emphacema and Coeliac event - Of which I suffer from two.
It is expected that it will be well supported, and sponsored.
Here's hoping any such events are a success.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...WhiskyForDarbs likes this. -

There are far more things to worry about, closer to HOME than a well admired ex player.

You really need to advertise the evening on the Cows Arse forum. Despite the name it’s full of gentlemanly, sophisticated types - they’ll keep it classy.
