And Monday's just in, Yorkshire is all looking better apart from, you guessed it - Bradford +36. I hope they make allowance for the extra testing stations opened.

    https://www.leeds-live.co.uk/news/yorkshire-news/78-new-coronavirus-cases-been-18597746

    Leeds - was 3,670 now 3,673 (3)
    Wakefield - was 1,717 now 1,718 (1)
    North Yorkshire - was 2,531, now 2,533 (2)
    Sheffield - was 4,038 now 4,048 (10)
    Barnsley - was 1,917 now 1,921 (4)
    Bradford - was 4,381 now 4,417 (36)
    Calderdale - was 707 now 710 (3)
    Rotherham - was 1,915 now 1,921 (6)
    Kirklees - was 2,142 now 2,152 (10)
    York - was 908, now 910 (2)
    Doncaster - 1,997
    East Yorkshire - still 1,645
    Hull - was 1,542, now 1,543 (1)

Bradford's Pillar 1+2 combined since available from 3rd of July is:
    38 ... 28,14,39,26,22,30,27 ... 21,29,36

The last weekly figure of 34.1/100k to July 10th covers the 7 days between the spaces, which average 26.5 per day. That means the last 3 days have not been good enough, though they assess more than just the raw numbers, apparently.

A date as been set for the EFL meeting with clubs Friday 24th July.
The season start date been strongly backed via clubs on various media resources would suggest Saturday the 12th. September will be the official commencement date of the new 20/21 football season.

Another 38 new cases yesterday in Bradford so we are back on the upwards move.

    Stealing @Aleman@Aleman figures

Bradford's Pillar 1+2 combined since available from 3rd of July is:
    38 ... 28,14,39,26,22,30,27 ... 21,29,36,38

Not looking good and a lot more than any other part of the region

Confirmed cases of coronavirus in Yorkshire
    • Leeds - was 3,673, now 3,692 (19)
    • Wakefield - was 1,718, now 1,727 (9)
    • North Yorkshire - was 2,533, now 2,536 (3)
    • Sheffield - was 4,048, now 4,055 (7)
    • Barnsley - was 1,921, now 1,923 (2)
    • Bradford - was 4,417, now 4,455 (38)
    • Calderdale - was 710, now 714 (4)
    • Rotherham - was 1,921, now 1,933 (12)
    • Kirklees - was 2,152, now 2,169 (17)
    • York - was 910, now 911 (1)
    • Doncaster - 1,997, now 2,004 (7)
    • East Yorkshire - still 1,645
    • Hull - was 1,543, now 1,545 (2)
Not sure how many of those are recorded because of the increased testing as the other areas don’t have such easy access

Just seen updated figures for the last 7 days, Bradford are now 4th.

as a city we have bounced around 6th and 7tb but our actual figure hasn’t changed very much. We seem to be around the mid 30s per 100,000 which I suppose whilst isn’t good the fact that it isn’t getting worse should be seen as a positive?

The list is based on Public Health England figures updated on July 15 on the Government's coronavirus online dashboard.

Data for the most recent three days (July 13 to 15) has been excluded as it is incomplete and likely to be revised.

Here is the list in full, showing the rate of new cases in the seven days to July 12, followed by the equivalent figure for the previous seven days to July 5:

    Leicester 104.4 127.2

    Pendle 74.4 14.2

    Blackburn with Darwen 48.3 29.5

    Bradford 37.6 33.7

    Herefordshire 37.0 2.1

    Rochdale 32.3 34.1

    Oadby and Wigston 31.5 33.3

    Peterborough 30.3 18.9

    East Staffordshire 28.7 7.6

    Kirklees 25.1 34.4

    Luton 24.8 17.3

    Kettering 24.7 13.8

Looking like there may be a vaccine available by the end of they year after successful trials of the Oxford vaccine

I'd be cautious on that. Moderna's vaccine saw "severe" side effects at high doses. They probably need more trialling at moderate doses. India have 4 vaccines in trial that are already in manufacture and ready to launch in about 4 weeks if trials go okay. Unfortunately, the worst might under way by then as infections are accelerating rapidly in India.

Not looking good. Bradford, Wakefield and Kirklees are all flirting with more restrictions. Will they allow for the fact there has been more testing?

132 cases for Yorkshire is highest for a while. Yorkshire and Northeast is already on Belgium's orange list, meaning 2-week quarantine and test is requested but not compelled. We could end up on the red list if cases keep rising.

I would take my risk with coronavirus rather than take a rushed through vaccine

I won't be rushing to participate in this vaccination. Medics, scientists may get it right but I'm willing to wait as I am not (knowingly) at risk.

I must admit it worries me but if it allows me to attend things like football I will probably take that risk

Fans back in stadium in October. Very positive.
Means surely we can start season in mid September with only 2 games max each behind closed doors?
