I can't speak for others but not watching City on a weekly basis is doing wonders for my mental health.

If we lockdown now we could ? could buy time to support the NHS and let the science catch up more in terms of a vaccine. Football is a very remote consideration at the moment. But and its a big BUT; if we could start to slow down the spread then it might be possible to achieve an acceptable conclusion of sorts for the season ?

I think one way to do it would be to play games behind closed doors and to make them all free to air for supporters. Or if we can allow some limited assembly of fans ? Make that on a strictly limited basis. So at VP the Away fans cannot attend that seems obvious. Then we allow 50% of our own season ticket holders on an alternate basis. The other 50% watching on Ifollow and vice versa. That would maintain the social distancing aspect. How many season tickets do we have ? 12000 ?. Then that would be a max 6000 in 24000 seater stadium. This could be repeated up and down the land. 6000 in VP can be accomodated around the stadium I would think safely. Here I am assuming that in June we will be in a better position and out of lockdown.

But to get us to that hopeful situation people must start acting "right in their heads" and staying home. Heed the advice and buy the science and NHS the time to catch up.

    Stay safe keep the faith.

Don't agree. The most logical solution and the one that is probably most acceptable to the clubs (and the lawyers) is to call this season nul and void. The likes of Lxxds will be screaming but they can't "prove" that they have been disadvantaged so will have no recourse in law. It wouldn't affect City as we would likely not be going up anywhere and we can start another season with a clean slate - and a largely different team. It would be the solution that I for one would support.

If this season is declared null and void by the domestic governing bodies, which teams do you think will enter next season's highly lucrative Champions League?

There would have to be discussion about that but logically if this season has never existed then the Champions League would be made up of teams from the previous season.

So Leicester and Manchester Utd would automatically sue because they won't be in the CL and could be if the season finished.

Also in the PL you get more money where you finish. So how would that work?

TV contract because you're cancelling the season when really you don't have too. How would that work?

Also they're 9 games left how you going to pay the clubs the home gates because cancelling the season means you don't have too but clubs will sue for loses.

West Brom, Leeds and Fulham will sue the PL plus those clubs in Play off spots would sue then those outside them like Bradford City.

Clubs would have to refund fans with season tickets

Don't think you have thought it through.

Then when would next season start? Next season is just a date. It can start whenever, so you what all them problems for something that can be moved. Makes no sense.

There is absolutely no chance this season will become void. Certainly with regards to the premier league anyway. They will finish this season even if it has to go well into next seasons timeframe.

I think the PL need a 14 club majority to void the season but apart from 2 or 3, there seems no appetite for that at all.

No doubt this has slowly but surely, grown in
intensity and if people don't listen and act on the
advice, we could see a universal melt down in every
    sense.

This is the science fiction film for real and we are all
    playing our parts.

Clubs can't sue for something that might have happened. The money would be allocated as per the season before since this last season has never happened as it never finished. The rest of your comments are covered by Government diktats. I don't understand your last paragraph; next season starts whenever football's governing bodies decide it should start.

OF course clubs can sue. You are saying Man Utd will go another season without CL football when clearly this season they have a chance of finishing in the top 4.

Sorry what would the government do for football again?

You're not making sense at all. So next season starts when the governing bodies decide, so we end this one to wait for next season but while we wait wouldn't it make sense to end this one? Even if next season started next year it's 9 games that just need adding on.

You clearly haven't thought it through at all.

As a Bradford fan I want the season to finish and I don't care when it is.

People are saying that things are getting back to normal in China etc. but from what I have read this is mostly propaganda and they are still in virtually complete lockdown. The chinese government will promote good stories so as to make things look far better than they actually are. Remember if they had taken this seriously initially instead of denying there was a problem then things would not have escalated as they have. With regard to the resumption of football in this country we shall see what matters most to those who are in charge. The good of the country and its inhabitants or money?

Do you honestly believe that there will be a normal Champions League next season. Do you think Countries will allow even close door games with people from other Countries in July when the Champions League is due to start. We might just get a truncated version later in the season with just the top team from each country taking part. As far the Europa League...

You might be right but at this stage nobody knows and everybody will want to see how things develop. The IOC is only now talking about cancelling this year's Olympics and the CL is not as time critical. UEFA are talking to the various governing bodies about this and other stuff. I could just about imagine some form of CL at the end of this year or possibly next year but at this stage no doubt UEFA will be keeping its options open. And of course seeing what the big sponsors want to do. That's one reason why the individual member associations can't just declare UDI on this with some declaring their season null and void whilst others come to a different conclusion. It's going to have to be co-ordinated and agreed upon with at least the bigger national leagues.

You seem to be stuck in a mindset that the season has to be finished, however and whenever that happens. I think that it's you who hasn't thought that through. There will not be the same teams available after the contracted season ends; in fact there may not even be all the clubs as some are already precariously financed. Imagine this as a war when all the young guys are carted off to fight, it will just not be possible to carry on where they left off after it's all over.

I give up. Clearly you don't understand next season can start in 5 years. It doesn't matter. It's a date!

This season can finish and then next season starts.

Look, if football isn't back soon then clubs will go to the wall and I include Bradford City in that. So yes, I am willing to wait 3-6 or 8 months to end this season.

For years many of the lower division clubs have been living hand to mouth, we can only speculate what might be with regards the finish of this season or the start of next season but I'm sure there will be less EFL teams if and when this season finishes or next season starts.

I don't get the obsession about next season. Surely if this season ends then more chance of clubs getting through this.

The longer this goes on the the more chance of clubs including ours going under.
