What are you watching?

I saw Knives Out the other day. Massively underwhelming, I thought.
Daniel Craig's attempt at a southern states accent was embarrassing and grated on me all the way through. Like when he played the lead male role in the Hollywood version of Girl With the Dragon Tattoo in an English voice when everyone else was speaking in a Scandinavian accent. Why do they keep shoehorning him into roles he is unsuitable for?

 

I may have posted this in the 1917 thread, but Sex Education on Netflix, is bloody brilliant. Hilarious, poignant and heartwarming. I love it.
Just one episode of Series 2 to watch. I'm going to be bereft after that.

 

It really is good. Loved both seasons and just works. All good characters.

 

The new Tom Segura stand up routine on Netflix is funny.

Did you watch "Viera & Keane, best of enemies" last night on ITV? It's been on before I think, but didn't catch it the first time around. Very very interesting, and great to see mutual respect by them both for each other. I can see they just see the current game as an absolute watered down of the game they used to play. I was thinking, how they would have coped (and others of the same era) with VAR.

Sex Education. Couldn't get into it, found it a bit childish and the acting wooden. I am starting to think I have a short attention span! Have you all seen "Making of a murderer"? Again, starts of a bit slow, but boooooooom - truly gripping. And also "Don't f**k with cats" - give that a watch. Totally unreal!

one that’s been out a while but never fails to grip me is Fargo. Particularly the first season, fantastic

Id personally watch film then series but up to you. Latest series was a bit meh but won’t say much more. Enjoy. It’s brilliant

Unfortunately, when there's a "good show" on NF, my Mrs insists "we watch it together" - aka "don't watch it without me". So I'm sitting around watching absolute shite on the box, knowing that I could watch it and pretend I haven't seen it when she's finally ready to sit down, but feeling a bit guilty about it. Of course when I want to watch the things I like that don't interest her, then that's the time she's ready to watch Tiger King. We did this with Chernobyl, and I got so tired in the end of waiting, that I watched it all without telling her (including two episodes when she was asleep on the sofa next to me), and then had to sit through it all again. Fortunately it was a great watch the second time too!

 

I quite enjoyed Knives Out, couldn't understand why they didn't give Craig an ordinary English accent a la James Bond.

 

Watched the film, enjoyed it a lot! Realised I might have started watching it when it came out, but it was 1996, and that was the last year of University for me, so I probably missed it due to too much......umm studying I have a friend here from Minnesota. He doesn't sound like that, but I am going to ask him if he can do a "Fargo".
Up next, the series. Slightly worried now I've seen the film, that I now know the ending....or is it not like that?

Supersize me 2 with Morgan Spurlock, a sequel to, you've guessed it, supersize me. Enjoyable watch, America is a weird country, summed up perfectly by its bat shit crazy President and the story of the film, its fast food industry.

Berlin Berlin, a documentary series about the capital of Germany. Story of the history behind a city with possibly an unparalled history. Again a good watch
