Missed this thread, just catching up.

The Stand is great. Another relevant book he wrote is Cell.

So disappointed with the ending of Enigma. Like he couldn't be arsed finishing it properly.

I've not read any Benjamin Myers yet, although I've got a collection of his which I might start soon.

Currently reading Daisy Jones and the Six. Very light and easy to read.

Just finished Steven Strogatz's Infinite Powers : How calculus reveals the secrets of the Universe. Fascinating book, really enjoyed it.

The ‘Gallow’s pole’ is the one that I have read. Set in the hills off the river Calder and loosely based on fact.

Must admit that I am more of a holiday reader these days.

Infinite Powers sounds like a serious read.

I have banked ‘Deadman’s Trousers’ by Irvine Welsh, which I will start on next.

My daughter is reading the Narnia series so I'm re-reading them myself 30 odd years later than the first time around.

If you like Scandi crime novels I recommend "The Son" by Jo Nesbo.

A break from the Narnia series for A Thousand Splendid Suns. I really enjoyed The Kite Runner so hoping this one is as good. First few chapters are good.

Just started September 2020 edition of Razzle. Not many words so far and very loose storylines. Will update when finished.

It was excellent, forgot to update the thread. Highly recommended. I'm now reading 'We' by Yevgeny Zamyatin (translated!) and next on my list is the sequel to The Handmaid's Tale.

You must have mentioned his books on here before. I'm about 3/4 through The Power of the Dog. Can't remember where I heard about them, so I'll credit you !

Recently started reading Ken Follett's mammoth book ' The Evening and the Morning, prequel to one of my favourite books 'The Pillars of the Earth. Promising first 100 pages, just another 800 or so to go!

Don’t read a lot of King, but I liked it. Believe they are looking at adapting it into a tv series.

King has been a bit hit and miss in recent years. However, did enjoy The Institute and one of my favourite King books is a relatively modern ones - 11/22/63. I think the epic 'The Stand' will take some beating though
