My Spotify Wrapped

 

Only just seen this post. Mark Feltham is a total monster on blues harp.
I came up to Bradford Uni from Essex in October 1980. In May of that year I did three memorable things in one day. I went to Wembley to see West Ham beat Arsenal in the FA Cup Final. I had my first curry (good prep for later coming to Bradford, but a pale shadow of what was to come). I watched Nine Below Zero live at the Bridge House in Canning Town. A great day!

 

Did you see them in November @Hulmebantam ?
I saw them at the Leeds Arena gig. Very good, I thought.

 

I worked on the Jubilee Line extension project and stayed at the Bridge House (right by Canning Town flyover?) If it's the same place that is. I was probably one of the last paying guests before they turned it into lodgings for asylum seekers.

Yes, right by the flyover. Famous East London music venue was the Bridge House.

 

Went to see Quo at Sheffield Arena many years ago only because Paul Rodgers was warm up act (unbelievable), the wife said what are they at the back of the stage I said amplifiers bank after bank so I knew it would be loud but to be honest far to load we went after the first 30 minutes, but Rodgers was worth the entry money himself, once out of the arena my ears felt "all right now" .

Saw them at Manchester Appolo just after he formed Bad Company I thought the place was going to collapse it was such a great gig.

Bob Dylan - Desire

 

Just seen the film Complete Unknown... not a fan of Dylan's voice but the film is excellent

 

I’m going on Monday. Everyone who’s seen it says it’s great.

 

It's two and a half hours and flies by... even sober

 

I'm not normally a fan of that type of music, however, I first heard the 'Desire' album on its release in the 70's through a friend and was mesmerised by the lyrics and voice. I've dipped in and out of his back catalogue since then

 

Got to agree it's a must see

 

Rather a lot of Theatre of Hate and Spear of Destiny lately. Several very good videos of their recent tours, Here's a very nice ToH set in America:
