That brings back memories...the Corktown Tavern in Hamilton (Ontario), must have been the fall of '87, between Whites Off Earth Now and The Trinity Session, before the Junkies made it big. We were first on the bill, and made the awe-inspiring sum of $50. Luckily we only had to split it three ways. The Junkies were next; put on a good show, and made $100. I remember Margo doing one song unaccompanied; the set was a very quiet, low-key one. The headliners, who made $150, were these guys: A Neon Rome. Quite the contrast to the Junkies! I always thought they should have made it, but one LP is all we got before they disbanded. To this day it annoys me that I once heard a song of theirs on the radio, liked it, but never caught the name or heard it again; it isn't on the LP.

Like Misguided Angel and Blue Moon but i enjoy the follow-up, The Caution Horses more,
Two cracking openers and a stronger finish with You Will Be Loved Again being one of the most beautiful yet desolate songs i have heard.

Shame they never really kept it going.

Not always. I saw Rory Gallagher there twice, Wishbone Ash (my absolute heroes) and 10CC there. Sound was fine for all of those.
Happy memories of bouncing up and down on that sprung dance floor.

Wife went to see Eagles the other night, last minute job as a friend of a friend dropped out. She'd no real idea who they were but was blown away by how good the gig was.

Metallica, playing in a downpour, from their concert in Manchester a couple of weeks ago. Great footage.
