Wembley Play-Off Final?

@NorthernMonkey is correct. A maximum number of tickets is 10,000, this is the wording ‘... outdoor events taking place in venues with seated capacity of over 16,000, event organisers may apply a 25% capacity cap, up to a maximum of 10,000 seated people’.
Simply put the number of 10,000 would be distributed between both clubs, meaning a maximum of 5,000.
It does seem slightly bizarre that you could have 10,000 at Stamford Bridge, which has a capacity of just over 40,000, yet Wembley with a capacity of 90,000 would be restricted to the same numbers.

 

That will be the clubs choice. These are unprecedented times, and perhaps in a show of solidarity then the number of tickets which are distributed to some of the groups you identified, could be reduced. I would have thought it would be more sensitive, if some demonstrable move could occur.
I still think it is ludicrous to restrict Wembley, which is a huge stadium, with immense walkways to 10,000, perhaps 25% of its capacity would be a reasonable compromise.

 

I think that might be the theory. However there is little stated evidence that would be the case. Using the current equation of 25%, potentially you could allow 6,284 into Valley Parade. That said, then the concourses, the areas outside the turnstiles, the streets surrounding our stadium, are all far more compressed than Wembley. The decision should be made on something more than an apparent arbitrary figure, individual circumstances should be taken into account. The ‘Play Offs’ are showcase events taking place in the ‘state of the art’ national stadium, with an approach area which has been designed to deal with up to 90,000 spectators.

 

This talk of a play off final is embarassing, just like Blackpool in 1996.

If the Final date for the EFL League 2 is 8th May 2021, and the Play Off Final itself taking place on Saturday 29th May 2021, then when will the semi finals take place?

If the first play off takes place on Saturday the 15th May and the return match on Saturday the 23rd May, then the club hosting the second leg could allow supporters into their ground, as the Government rules about 10,000/25% spectators, come into play on the 17th May 2021. Arguably not only an advantage with a home tie, but with your supporters in the ground behind you!

The EFL needs to address these issues and clarify its stance.
