How To Play

A couple of days before every league match a prediction thread will be posted. This thread will be stickied to the top of the forum to help you find it. On this thread, you just need to post your match prediction on the following format

Point System

Points are awarded as follows

• Correct Result – 2 Points
• Correct Score - 3 Points
• Correct Scorer – 1 Point

Bonus Points. The best prediction will get 5 bonus points. If multiple people predicted the same score and scorers then the minute of the first goal (or yellow in a scoreless draw) will be used as a tiebreak. Anyone who losses on this tiebreak will get 3 bonus points.

If even with the tiebreak entries are still identical the first person to post will get the full bonus points

Penalty Points. If you predict City scoring more than 5 or more goals you will get a penalty of -1 for each incorrect scorer. This is to prevent abuse by naming all 11 starters as scorers for guaranteed points.

 

Rules

• Entering via multiple accounts is forbidden. If we catch you using multiple accounts they will all be disqualified
• Only entries made before kick off will be accepted
• *Rule Change* Only one submission per user will be accepted per match. In the event of multiple submissions, we will use the last submission. If adjusting your entry we still suggest deleting previous submissions
• Don’t use players nicknames, only their surnames (If there are multiple players with the same surname then enter in the format of FirstName.Surname)

All entrants will receive a banner at the end of the season

1st Place at the end of the season will get to choose their prize from the list above, 2nd will get to choose from what's left and so on until all prizes have been awarded

Want to contribute a prize? Any help with prizes would be greatly appreciated. This can be done either as an official business sponsorship, a private sponsorship or on an anonymous basis. If you provide a prize as a business we will include your name and branding in all Prediction League threads and promotion via social media

Know a company who might like to provide a prize? Point them to this thread especially if its a company who provide a product or service that is City related or is likely to be appealing to the City Worldwide fanbase

 

Special Rounds

Special Prize Rounds

Certain rounds will be defined as Special Prize rounds. There will be prizes available to the top scorer(s) of this round. How many and when these rounds is at the discretion of the competition organisers

FA Cup

FA Cup matches will be included this year but will only score half points. Further special rules for FA Cup Matches will be announced later

I've been doing a bit of networking and looks like I might have a really good addition to the prize pool. Think it will be something that every single one of you would really love if you win. Just a few final details to sort out before I can announce it so keep an eye out.
