Never seen a flare once. Why would they want to sit with the older lot and the families? All they do is look down their nose at them for trying to create an atmosphere and have a laugh. “Such types” have made away days much more a laugh over the past year, much rather stand with them than the older “sunwin” brigade. I don’t like the smoke bombs by the way. Sure this will go down like a lead balloon but hey ho.

I'm not saying there is anything wrong with going to the game and getting rowdy. Not at all. We've all been young lads once and enjoyed away days.

The point I am making was in response to an earlier poster who suggested it was too troublesome to check all the fans at home games...my point is that if anyone is likely to be taking stuff in it is the young uns at the top of the Kop. There are of course lots of families and others that also sit in the Kop, but, as you say, the younger lads, the ones that like to make an atmosphere with the drum etc, they've no interest in sitting with young families in the Family Stand or the older fans in the main stand, so stewards' efforts would be better concentrated on the Kop where they are more likely to sit.

As long as they are not causing trouble to fellow City fans I am all for noise and atmosphere. Who isn't! We all want VP rocking as long as flares and smoke aren't going off and causing conflict.

I don't think any more needs to be added, go to the game have a few beers cheer your team on to victory good day out, as long as the away club stewards allow the away fans to find there preferred seating everyone's happy, the guys who want to stand and cheer in one area and those who want to sit go in another area of the stand.

Totally agree Dave we had a slight issue at Crewe. Stewards were telling us to sit in our own seats but the area had been taken over by the young guys. I think away games should be sit anywhere unless you can select your seat when purchasing but that never happens.

Away games should be unreserved seating.

You'll find that was because we didn't score...

Can't agree with this at all. For starters, i've never seen a pyro let off at VP

Secondly, did you see the state of the queues at the Northampton game? They had issues with the scanners at the turnstiles so were manually writing ST numbers down, causing chaos with people stood in the Midland Road queues for 20 mins or so with some even missing KO. Can you imagine if they decided to search everyone as well as this happening, we wouldn't get in before half time!

Thirdly, I don't think Bradford can issue any such order to the Away club, it is down to them if they want to police it or not. From my experience, most away clubs are too grateful for the large number of away fans and the income they generate to be bothered about a bit of orange smoke

I agree that we have no issue at Valley Parade but we certainly do at away games within a reasonable travelling distance. City should be concerned about it as it won't be too long before we get another fine or even a points deduction.
It is also against the law. Having been rather too near one at Grimsby, I didn't see it as a "little bit of orange smoke" either. They are illegal for a reason.

Oh I wholeheartedly agree with your post, me and my lad suffered the same fate at Grimsby. Unfortunately we sat in our designated seats and when the pyro went off it ended up under a seat close to us. Could barely breathe for a minute!
