Just an update on this. Entry for the first game will probably go up on Saturday with the first match 'kicking off' Monday at 8pm. I'm getting a few matches in the can as playing the matches and editing the video take a little time so I'm getting making sure I'm a couple of matches ahead so if I get overloaded with work or I get the virus I can have the match videos and the entry threads pre-scheduled so you shouldn't notice

 

1) Sure but you may be ok with my section until Wood is fit where I may very well be playing a 5 at the back
2) You can but unless I only play 1 CM you may be stuck with 1 of them for 3 months when Reeves is back
3) I'm expecting that even after the first win if I don't win by 10 goals
4) No as I actually want to win the league

 

Basically I'm going to manage City on a computer game (Football Manager 2020) to see if I can do better than Bowyer and McCall. Before each match I will post an entry thread just like I was the real matches and you will put in your predictions of the result, score and scorers just like you were in the actual games.

After entry closes, I will then post a video with the highlights so you can check the result and get to watch City strikers fail to score in a game just like they were struggling to do in real life . And then I'll repeat for the next game until either my brilliance wins City the league or I get sacked (Which looking at the strikers available may very well happen, made worse when I see a great striker sitting unavailable in Vaughan, Damn you Bowyer)

 

I will tag the in the first post and then build the new list from the entries

 

This is probably my first lineup if you want to get your complaints in already(Although still trying to decide between Devine/Akpan, Conolly/Ismail and Donaldson/Novak)

 

The thing is Novak's stats, specifically, some of his physicals don't really impress me. At this level I like a player with some pace and acceleration.



Which is why despite his finishing not being great I am favouring Donaldson



Guthrie would be another option but his rentals let him down, specifically concentration and decisions



The other option is McCartan who is pretty well rounded but isn't natural as a striker, preferring to play behind the striker. Plus he is injured(and my coaches say he doesn't like big matches)
