Darragh has openly said if he wanted to sell Peterborough and look for another club to make money from we would be high on the list. Just saying

I reckon even Ashley would look at Derby and come to the same conclusion Lawn did during our first administration, which was "£35 million debt (insert the correct figure for Derby) ? No chance, they call me Billy not Silly".

No give aways on D-Mac’s podcast today but he did reference Sparks having to do a lot of different jobs at ours when discussing the CEO role.
    I wouldn’t be suprised if he’s applied.
Apparently Posh are interviewing next week-I’ll let you know if I see Sparks knocking round Peterborough City Centre

DMAC isn't stupid. He might like Sparks, but there is no way he will want him ruining his (well run) club.

Peterborough is a big speedway City too - would suit him to a tee that.

Interviewing next week? I'm sure D-Mac tweeted maybe a week or two ago that their new CEO was already signed but cant start until January.

They put a current a board member in charge for two months I believe, whilst the process took place.

Two months eh, it took Rhodes 18 months to find our CEO and in the end he just employed the twitter guy who was on secondment as his deputy

If someone like Rodwell is a temporary appointment you can bet the permanent CEO won't be a rookie appointment lol MacAnthony is doing that very unBradford thing of actually conducting a professional search and not just appointing the tea boy or his mates from an amateur rugby team

I hadn't heard about Jim Rodwell but January would see him 12 months on from leaving Sunderland and free to move on. He is very experienced, did have ambitions to be on the EFL Board at one time and is the sort of character who would fit well with Barry Fry.
I came across him at Notts County, in the days of Sven, then he moved to Scunny and then to Sunderland with PP and crew, in fact they had two Board Meetings in my office complex in summer 2020. Very bullish guy who I think lives within easy reach of Peterborough so it would fit.

It seems like you're thinking he could be the man I suppose it fits from what you're saying

This is the model I would be wanting myself Barry Fry has tons of experience then add Rodwell or similar plus a very involved chairman that to me is a recipe for success

That's some interesting insight mate thanks

Compared to our model of (an ex) Head of Recruitment who only knows the way to Scunthorpe, a youth team coach who is younger than our striker as assistant manager, an owner who was last seen when Abba were touring and a CEO whose best attribute is managing a twitter account, it's absolute genius.

Yes completely spot on in my opinion the leaders should be the most knowledgeable and experienced anything else is folly

The last I heard David was doing some sort of consultancy back at Burnley who didn’t have a CEO. Don’t know if that’s still the case.
