The woman reporter in your link has not an ounce of credibility. All i've seen in the media this since the council elections is parties berating rRform and their winning candidates without one of the beraters bothering to self analyse why Reform actually garnered all that support. I washed my hands with politicians many years ago, they ain't worthy of my time going to vote for such sheer incompetence.

Labour minister Lucy Powell sorry over grooming gangs 'dog whistle' remark - BBC News

What a discussing human being the Leader of the House of Commons Lucy Powell is, now we know why Labour are not prepared to hold a National Inquiry do they believe bringing the rape gangs question up deserves a reply such as this "oh, we want to blow that little trumpet now do we" and "let's get that dog whistle out shall we", just what was she thinking, potentially upward of 250,000 of young girls systematically raped and she makes that sort of discussing comment, do your job Starmer and show this woman the door, or maybe you agree with her comment ?.

I'm looking to see if "The Guardian" have a view with regards this woman's comments ?.

They are dumber. I admit I haven't looked into the detail of this yet. I have just heard on the radio breaking news about the new trade deal with India. Apparently Indian companies who set up in the UK under the scheme will pay no employers or employees NI for Indian Immigrant workers for the first 3 years. This is the same month that any UK company with more than 3 or 4 employees starts paying thousands more in employers NI. Surely I must have heard this wrong!!!

Here it is - two tier tax!

Sir Keir Starmer has been accused of giving Indian migrants huge tax breaks after today's historic trade deal provided National Insurance exemptions to professionals moving to the UK.

The deal, which is expected to boost growth by £5billion, was hailed as the the “biggest and most economically significant” accord since Brexit.

However, Indian professionals living in Britain look to have been spared from paying National Insurance in the UK as well as at home for three years.

Hailing the concession, New Delhi said: "In an unprecedented achievement, India has secured an exemption for Indian workers who are temporarily in the UK and their employers from paying social security contributions in the UK for a period of three years under the Double Contribution Convention. This will make Indian service providers significantly more competitive in the UK."

Responding directly to the concession, the Centre for Migration Control said: "This deal hands far too many concessions to Indian workers - awarding an exemption from national insurance contributions.

"We are through the looking glass. HM Government is now raising taxes on Brits whilst slashing them for migrants."

Shadow Business Secretary Andrew Griffith added: "Keir Starmer has just signed a deal which exempts Indian workers transferred to the UK from paying National Insurance… after increasing it for British workers. Every time Keir Starmer negotiates, Britain loses."

Tory leader Kemi Badenoch also accused the Prime Minister of "two-tier taxes", warning: "When Labour negotiates, Britain loses."

The decision comes just months after Rachel Reeves hiked employers' National Insurance Contributions in her Budget tax raid.

Despite facing a backlash over tax breaks, the Prime Minister remains adamant that the UK stood its ground on the issue of visas.

He said: “There were tough negotiations on both sides, as you would expect, but because we were serious and pragmatic and providing the leadership to our negotiating teams, we were able to resolve the difficulties that have held this up for the best part of eight years.

“And my approach to the negotiations, my instruction to the team was, we will always act in our national interest and make sure that this is a deal that works for Britain, and that’s what we’ve been able to produce. That’s what we’re able to deliver today.”

Saw an interview this morning with Johnathan Reynolds trying to justify the deal, followed by the news that if criminals didn't attend court when receiving their sentencing they could get more time, less gym time family visits etc, is this another human right situation what ever happened to "do the crime you do the time" have the balls to face the families of those you have taken a loved one from, I wasn't aware they could choose whether to attend or not.

Sensible deal, the country is lacking in people from the subcontinent and it is the reason people are turning to Reform. Starmer hears you, he gets it...

There have been some fairly high profile cases where this has happened, Lucy Letby being the stand out one. Axel Rudakubana was actually there but was removed after constantly interupting proceedings. Kyle Clifford didn't attend his sentencing just a few weeks back.

I'd drag them there in chains myself.

Totally agree, I despair if it isn't law then they should make it law you attend your day in court for sentencing, you don't get a choice like the poor souls you murdered.

Problem is if you force them to attend and they don't want to they will just make a nuisance of them self enough so the judge kicks them out

That's fair comment and a situation like that may upset the families of the deceased it just seems the criminals can pick and choose what they do even though they have commited terrible crimes.
I'm not sure the measures being put forward would stop them doing as you say, and disrupting the proceedings.

It won't it's just virtue signalling. The fact you can commit the most heinous of crimes but still have 'rights' would be comical if it weren't so serious, a good friend of mine is a dock officer at crown court and they're always kicking off.

Labour MP Tahir Ali who claimed £59,000 expenses in one year faces spending investigation

Well who'd have thought it another Labour MP is caught dipping his snout in the trough, this is a Labour MP from Birmingham who seems to think building an airport in Mirpur is of any significances to the UK electorate, it would be funny if it was not for the fact he's a Birmingham MP who have a constituency that running rife with rats in certain parts of Birmingham, maybe if found guilty he will resign his position as an MP along with Conservative MP Patrick Spencer who's been accused of sexual assault.

So far two Reform councillors have stepped down days after getting elected, one for unknown reason, one for working for the council and another has been outed as a recently sacked police officer whilst standing on a ticket of integrity and honesty. Less than two weeks after the elections

Unbelievable this Labour government, now they are thinking about opening a immigration hub, only after their asylum claim has been rejected so instead of paying for hotels/rented accomodation in the UK we'll pay another country to accommodate them, how much money wasted on the Rwanda scheme which they never gave it a chance.
