    He's at an age when he could still play but can't see any club at a decent level taking a punt on him, probably not even semi-pro. Even if they can look beyond what he did he's not played in over 4 years. It was would also cause clubs a lot of issues as he will be on the register so can't see that going down well with any parents who are looking get their child to be a mascot. Best he can probably hope for is a Saturday or Sunday league side.

    I would have thought he could play abroad. Places like India, offer an opportunity. However he has lost four years as a professional, playing some form of challenging football. He is now 25. Perhaps too much of an ask, to resume a professional career?

    One year, nine months of his 3.5 year sentence. That alone will be enough to piss off a lot of people. As you say, best he moves abroad or gives up the game.

    That’s par for the course though, only serving half of a sentence (or thereabouts) unfortunately.

    Don't think he can move abroad until his sentence has finished
