You mean a website just put players on their transfer site without checking with the player, club, and agent? Interesting.

It also says "Suspended Cross Competition"
He may be deemed a free agent, whilst City still hold his registration

Robinson signed a new deal in January 2018. I believe it was a 2 1/2 year deal which would mean he is contracted to the club until July this year.

The question I want answering is ‘what has he done wrong’ ?
If there’s no charges after almost 2 years then get him back on the pitch ffs.

This is true - he’s out of contract at the end of the season. Still suspended. Looking for work at Tesco.

In an age where we can find £500k to ring Big Ben for Brexit, spunk billions on unnecessary no deal preparation and tens of millions on unnecessary ferries, the criminal justice system is criminally underfunded. It’s right that the CPS takes its time to gather all the evidence when a man may lose his liberty. But if you think two years is too long, let your MP know you would like a properly funded CJS.

Hmmmm 2 years to gather evidence of what exactly?
The CPS is a joke and not fit for purpose really.

The police gather the evidence and the CPS decide whether to charge based on likelihood of conviction and public interest. They have to make the right decision or a person can wrongly lose their liberty.
It’s better than the alternative of having the police decide whether to charge or not.
The whole CJS is criminally under funded. Read this

Perhaps read this article which looks at the delay in progressing matters which the police have investigated. I am not sure if there is a decision to prosecute in respect of Robinson!

“Victims of serious crime now wait almost a year-and-a-half for the suspects to go on trial while judges sit “idle” after the government cut their sitting days – despite Guardian analysis finding almost half of all crown courtrooms in England and Wales are empty each day.

Government statistics show that the average crown court case takes 525 days to go from offence to completion, up 34% from 392 days in 2010.

The delay begins with the police, who have had their numbers cut by 20,600 since 2010. Ministry of Justice (MoJ) statistics show that overwhelmed forces now take an average of 331 days from the date of the offence to charge someone with a crime that will see them tried at a crown court, up from 205 days in 2010”.

I can 100% see the club not saying anything and allowing this to go under the radar.

I don't think any of us are questioning the Legal system, and I am sure all of us don't want anyone getting locked up for something they haven't done (and vice versa). What most of us are questioning I suppose, is why someone is still on our books getting paid a wage (allegedly) when they are not able to do the job they are employed for. I'm pretty sure if it was an office job, then some sort of conclusion would have been agreed by the employee and the employer- even in this day and age.

I don't get it. If there is some sort of legal reason why he can't play, then I understand, but is there such a law? If its the club who are choosing not to select him due to his case, then whats to stop him cancelling his contract with us, and joining another club? I'm sure there's been players playing while they were under investigation -Adam Johnson for example.

It's a strange one for sure. As someone pointed out above, he's certainly taking the situation in his stride. He's off clubbing most weekends (in london), organising parties and setting up his new business.
