The Labour Party under Blair was actually a Conservative Govt with a Red Rose stuck between it's buttocks.

Be more specific on the facts I’ve got wrong?
Maybe I could have said ‘delayed’ petrol car ban rather than scrapped but you know what I meant and you were being a pedant.

opinions on politics are often just speculation rather than concrete facts

which other mis-informed statements do I need to apologise for?

Just fact check your own comments , I ain’t doing it for you. How can you learn if someone else tells you? Trying to alter the meaning of your words as if it doesn’t matter and then claim I am being pedantic , is disingenuous .

For example , “ Scrapped” has one meaning, so don’t start trying to provide “ alternative facts” to wriggle around your misinformed statement. If you try to debate a point and treat misinformed opinion as fact, I will call it out, just as I expect others and yourself to pull me up if I’m wrong.

Yes absolutely. The first Left of Centre Labour Party. They pulled the centrist rug from under the Conservatives feet which left them only able to go in one direction. Hard Right. Even moreso they are now at the extreme end of the Right Spectrum. Truss’s budget scared the trousers off even the most right wing headbangers. They have nowhere left to go, whilst Starmer sits firmly in the middle. Your comment was actually spot on USG.

Makes me laugh that train drivers, and more so, tube drivers, are routinely hounded for having decent terms and conditions and are willing to not compromise on any of it. Good for them….I mean, I don’t know any tube drivers, but if my working week consistently meant starting very early, finishing very late, weekend work, bank holiday working, Sunday nights or whatever, I’d want to be on a good crack. I don’t know why anyone would think they shouldn’t.

Surely train driver aren’t legally allowed to work all those hours just like bus drivers and pilots aren’t

I don't think he was saying the same person worked very early, very late and all weekend, just that the shift patterns combined all of those things rather than a 'normal' working day.

I do know though that most train staff work weekends as extra shifts which helps bump up the numbers used in the press to demonise them for their large pay rates.

What about McDonald’s workers? They start early, finish late and work weekends / bank holidays…should they be on 70k a year too?

They are on a decent crack. Average salary 50k a year. How much more do you think they deserve for sitting in a cab pulling levers ?
