    Yes he was thought to be a big target but I watched him play maybe 3/4 full
    games for Hamilton and he didn't impress me at all.Scottish football on TV
    is mainly smaller teams when playing one of the big 3 or 4 teams so maybe
    he wasn't going to shine as much.Still if a player is worth having he should
    show glimpses of talent but watching him closely he wasn't in the games
    and didn't do anything of note.Not one for me on that basis.

    Why would we need to recruit a player like Nouble when we already have Donaldson, Novak and Vaughan on the books?

    ps I haven't forgotten Guthrie, I'm just not including him as a striker!

    Unless one of our current strikers is leaving, then we do not have enough space in our squad to accommodate a fifth striker.

    We already have: Guthrie, Donaldson, Novak and Vaughan.

    Far more pressing are the gaps in midfield, a right back and possibly a goalkeeper.

    Christ! If any of our forwards are on the way out I hope to God its Guthrie. To be fair though, even if he does go I'd hope were looking for a better replacement that Nouble. I agree, many more pressing areas to address and if he gets the midfield right, with decent supply to the forward line, then hopefully well be in a much better position than last season. Last seasons midfield was woeful

    On Nouble, he is a big lump with a bit of pace to him, that's about it, looks your standard L2 journeyman type. But to his credit, watching the L2 play offs the commentators did say he has played all season either right wing in a 442 or right forward in a 3 up top, so not really used as a striker anymore and 5 goals, 5 assists from the right hand side is better than any return our wide players have produced for a couple of seasons. Didn't look too bad in the first leg, cant recall him doing a great deal in the second leg.
