    The circumstances in which he was signed didn’t help. We’d sold the divisions leading goalscorer to Swindon after failing to play to his strengths and quite frankly embarrassing ourselves, our club captain and top scorer had been sent out on loan and our second highest goalscorer Remi Oteh had also returned to his parent club. We’d lost a lot of firepower in a short space of time so we decided to address this by scouring the bench of the literally the worst professional team in the country. Our fans were quite right peed off and It took about 20 minutes to see why he was surplus to requirements at the mighty Stevenage.

    Awful player signed by a manager who was completely out of his depth.

    Never the less as Cullingworth said the previous season he hit 15 goals for an average side not many of our strikers have done that recently

    Don't think he/she came out with any other rumours other than sutton or Watt. Did say Watt would be a loan though.

    Or even Tony Adcock or Neil Tolson! Lots of examples of both sides of the story. I really want to give Guthrie more of a chance than perhaps a lot of people on here, I think my main worry is that he does not appear to be much different to what we have. A striker with pace would add something different and he is not that player.

    Omar Bogle has only had any sort of sucsess at Solihull Motors and Grimsby Town, loaned out here and there now at ADO Den Haag a Dutch side, when he's moved up Cardiff & Wigan he's hardly scored.
    Kabongo Tshimanga would be a gamble not played at any sort of level, it's to be hoped if Vaughan is leaving this lad is a replacement.

    I wouldn’t want him to replace Vaughan but I think he would be well worth a gamble to replace one of the other strikers

    We also need a left sided midfielder. We know Connor Wood is an asset going forward, maybe he could be utilised there. I agree we need a RB too

    I think the plan is listening to the forum the other night is to play three centre halve with wing backs. So I think the priority is right wing back I think Pritchard who puts a good cross in will play on the left if they switch to wingers. Listening to McCall it seems he doesn’t like the fact we have three strikers who are all centre forwards ironic that for a big part of last season we didn’t have one. I think he may bring in a second striker to cover vaughan if he is injured or suspended

    IF he pulls on the shirt he gets my backing. Agree he has done little to justify himself to date. I just hate lazy body language in a footballer. He may prove to be an astute signing. But to press he has done nothing.
