if tordoff had of backed us in the late 80s, we may have been a div one club when the premier league came about. no point going over old ground.. again.

 

It's been said countless times this season that we are too slow and have no pace, yet you think McArdle and Hanson are exactly the right type of players we need????

 

Was thinking of a lot more recent times
Like a small child making the same mistakes time and time again until they "see the light" and do things correctly
But this time we have simply GOT to learn
Or it's non league football for us
When was the last time a transfer window improved our squad

 

Didn't harm us when we eventually got out of L2 last time
Or reached a major Cup Final

 

That's because McArdle and Hanson were in their prime back then! I said this yesterday but it needs saying again - we have to stop harping back to the past! McArdle and Hanson are nowhere near the players they were for us back then, we need better if we want to bounce back.

 

That's why I said they were exactly the TYPE of players needed
You need a fair bit of skill to be promoted from L 2 but a physical centre half/forward
are essential

 

Ahh, so you don't want them back in person, just players that are like them?
Can't argue with that (as long as they also have a bit of pace about them)

 

Yupp

 

Maybe not those exact words mate but similar :
We will be more aware and ready come the next transfer window.
We have players identified.
If we are there about's come the New Year we will back the manager.
Hopkin has his targets identified, unfortunately they didn't materialise

 

The list is of platitudes is endless Dave
Only this time it's critical to avoid the continued slump or we may find ourselves in even bigger trouble
Let's hope lessons have been learned or we really in dire trouble

 

Erm erm sorry my memory is failing me good thinking is never too late, but I am 3 gins and sunny afternoon so not able to offer good advice.

A certain ex Man Utd under 23’s captain

 

He could do a lot worse than picking a few up from Blackburn U23s. Won 12 of their last 16 games, beaten Arsenal and Spurs away, comfortably beat Man City last game. Their fans are demanding Mowbray bring them into the first team, which he has for a few who haven’t looked out of place.

 

Colin Doyle set to return according to Facebook rumour probably rubbish because he was there last night and somebody reading something into one of his wife’s tweets.
Did Doyle play under Bowyer or was it before his time

 

Reckon he’s only worth 25p now.

 

I'd love us to re-sign Doyle. he's far better than bloody O'Donnell.

And again another former player is linked. An average one at that. Only looks so good now as O'Donnell has been so bad.
