Carroll's problems are not ability, more to do with a lengthy catalogue of injuries. Nobody in their right mind would give him a contract now, his career is as good as finished.

 

Caddis can go for me ..useless in League 2 !..have a gander at Salfords back 4 big physical and pretty mobile.

 

caddis has been poor for the last couple of matches, just look at his positioning for the first today - he had no idea where hiwula was at all. he came in, did well and it looked like he'd steadied a shaky back four but recently his form has been as poor as everyone elses.

 

if they don't sign new contracts with their current clubs, players i'd be looking at as replacements for caddis if he leaves are nathan thompson, shay facey or james bolton. curtis nelson at CB would be high on the list too.

 

No chance of either Thompson or Nelson. Thompson will stay on league 1 if he leaves pompey, and nelson thinks he's too gold for Oxford so why would he drop down a level?

Mellor will be first choice at RB anyway.

 

He's been eventually dragged down to Bradford City level. Understandable in the circumstances.

In all fairness he was in the league 2 TOTY under Bowyer at Blackpool.

I think players like him and Scannell who have been injured most of the season shouldn't be the focus of our anger. Its not really their fault we're here.

There's plenty of useless wasters who have disrespected our shirt every week who should get the stick.

 

The likes of

O'Connor, NKP, Chicksen, Wright, Anderson are among those yhat should have the stick me thinks. Honestly cant believe its come to this. They should be ashamed. The sooner the contracted ones are off loaded the better

 

Theres no i in team, they all should shoulder some of the blame. People have tried picking on individual players all season.

 

Google Blackpool's squad under Bowyer some of them will end up and suspect he'll be rooting around in Blackburns academy for a loan or two. Either way it's not going to amount to anything but a struggle. Trouble is if after six games it's not going well the calls for Bowyer to go will be loud. And we'll be stuck with his "summer recruits". Vicious circle begins ...

I am with you on this Tarty. What really worries me is, even if we put them on the back burner and not selecting them for the squad, it may well taint the new players arriving. In order to give us a chance we need a clean slate.

 

Why would be calling for GB to be sacked after six games? I realise our turnover on managers is an embarrassment, but is that one of our tests now, if they don’t come up to standard ie win first six matches they have to be sacked? We must have stability, this revolving door of managers is harming our club, we will not make any progress unless we sort our collective mentality to sack managers after such a short time, in my experience success requires hard work with set backs on the way.

League 2 is not rocket science, we need pace, physical strength and mental strength. That is what GB has said we need, so why would we be saddled with his summer recruits? I am sure the Messiah could manage with such summer recruits.

 

This sums up where we are as a club. Football really is a simple game. But one where, like anything, you need a plan to work from to succeed. And you need everyone to buy into the ethos of that plan. And if that plan is flawed at the very top it ain't gonna right itself at the bottom. And just like the matter of heart dvd showed, the two main parties integral to success (the manager and chairman) were never singing from the same hymn sheet from the very beginning. And now to the present, we are in the same position we were in Parkys full season, albeit with a worse group of players.
But at least no Edin Rahic. And a manager who, if given time and backing, will at least give us a team that actually looks like it can win a game of football.
