    Can't see any recent Pulse commentators flying that high.

    He'll do well to match Chris Cooper. He did very well after leaving the pulse.

    Cooper where my mate lives in Salts Mill (obviously not the same appartment), thought he was good on comms. Never took to Steeles commentary. Infact theres a bloke on Radio Leeds, can't remember his name, tends to do Town and Leeds games and his commentary voice goes right through me, can't listen to the fella.

    Paul Ogden does Town and Adam Pope does Leeds. Noel whelan is the Leeds summariser and does that annoying “Get in” when Leeds score.

    I was never a big fan of Tim Steere’s commentary.
    Derm Tanner was pretty good back in the day on Radio Leeds

    My favourites have always been Tim Thornton and latterly Jason Thornton on The Pulse. Let’s not get into a debate about whether they did or didn’t have a referee bias, but on the whole they really got excited about the games and it was good for the listener. I even liked Sticks as the straight man - always good to have an ex pro in the commentary box. Lee Duxbury was good on co-comms too.

    The new commentator on Radio Leeds, Jamie Raynor is doing alright to be fair.

    I also think Raynor knew Stuart would bite if he asked the “ right” question.which as a journalist is what you are after.
