We have never been in the position Posh have, I'm not knocking what Darragh MacAnthony has done with regards getting young non-league players in and selling them on, more that I would expect him as the owner to do, and that's invest in the squad to improve it and hopefully repay your fans by getting the club promoted.
As you say any monies available has been used the improve the squad certainly in Parky's time at the club, we know that was the theory Rahic sold us, unfortunately he never gave it chance to work because of his egotistical self believe, and that's a shame because some of his idea's were the right way to go long term, I think this is how Ryan wants the club to move forward.

Trouble is mate if we do get any success from Sparks, Trueman & Sellars they wont get any praise as none of them should be in their jobs.

It’s early days but a few weeks ago we didn’t know where the next point was coming from now even though we haven’t played for ages we go into matches expecting points. We now have a director in charge of transfers who has so far gone about the business very well. I would say there were signs of us turning the corner but only time will tell

It's a shame we've had 3 recent games postponed that would have given most fans a better idea if T&S were turning things around on the pitch, even without playing those games I feel more positive than I did on 13 December 2020 when Stuarf went.

I agree with much of that and I hope that Posh are now getting on with the construction of their new stadium.

One important detail which is incorrect is that MacAnthony and the two Canadians jointly are equal shareholders in Posh and MacAnthony didn't sell 51% of his own shareholding to them. Well, that's according to Companies House at least.

Aren’t those clubs owned by mega rich owners bankrolling everything? Bournemouth have the Russian. Brighton have Tony Bloom, who can’t be short of a few bob?

Peterborough seem to be getting a good income from transfer revenues and reinvesting that, rather than owner plugging the holes?

May be wrong but Posh’s model is sustainable but Bournemouth and Brighton’s seem less so.

Not sure who owns Swansea these days. Did Huw Jenkins sell up?

Yes, Denise Coates. Bet 365 have dominated the online betting market. She’s been criticised plenty she’s that rich - a billionaire - but tbf she has given some to charity.

Just as well she’s loaded given Stoke’s efforts at promotion!

Ofcourse not, he's still here to smooth over the sale of the club.
Sparks being made ceo is just a ploy to calm the fans down.

I can't argue about the players already mentioned.

    This maybe a unproven rumour.

You are too busy jumping to conclusions that you missed the announcement that JR had left the building some time ago. Of course you won't accept it as it came from the guy you are reluctant to communicate with.

I would hope that Lee Turnbull has already identified targets and made a move for players that will improve the matchday squad. Hopefully we can move on the likes of BRE, DMH, Longbridge, Guthrie and send Samuels back to Wolves. I also wouldn't be fussed if L***s took Hosannah back, I rate him but he's not our player long-term so I would rather keep playing Cousin-Dawson, he's physically strong for an eighteen year old and each challenge thrown at him in a game he has taken on and dealt with it.
Then in the summer the present management team or whoever replaces them can decide which contract to renew (if any).

Thats an interesting one. More than once Sparks has said Woods contract was one for the new CEO, i did think at the time what difference would it make (surely a longer contract is a bigger asset) and i wonder what his view is now he is the CEO. Probably left it too late is my opinion

Yeah, for sure, I've said a few times this season that playing him at wing back has wrecked his form. His two best qualities, in my opinion, are last ditch tackles covering the centre backs (he needs to be in the back line to do that), and his crossing - but his crossing hasn't been as productive as it was last season.

Still, I think it will be a pretty easy sell based on what he's accomplished in a short amount of time and in a consistently poor Bradford City side, and a League One club will likely snap him up.

I never bought into the idea some fans had that he was worth money, though.

No full backs are ever worth transfer fees at this level, unless they're 16 and extremely promising, like an Ethan Ampadu for example. Connor Wood wasn't particularly young when he came here, and at 24 he's either in his prime or fast approaching it.

His confidence took a big knock during Stuart’s slump. He went into his shell at times and instead of attacking and delivering the crosses that earned him his name last season he’s been turning in and playing safety first (maybe this was instructed, but I don’t think his body language has been confident). However, he banged in a cracking shot against Port Vale and hopefully his confidence is returning.

I agree he was our best player on form last season.

Fresh is a backup centre half at best, that's his position.
