    I think that's the date for international transfers which is uually 10-12 days before the domestic deadline.

    Did you see the headline on one of the Sky sports channels at the time of the Messi leaving Barca rumour?

    It simply said 'Messi to City?'. It raised my heartbeat momentarily! :)
