    Google doesn't allow pop up's so its not that and there haven't been any changes to the templates so we haven't been compromised so i think its at your end.

    Go download malwarebytes and run a scan and see if that identifies anything suspect on your system

    Actually, just realise you said you were on an iPad so Malwarebytes won't work. It also makes it more complicated as its much harder to infect an ipad

    Just to be sure I've run the site through 5 different site checkers and they all passed it as clean (One said there was a potentially suspicious file but it was one of the theme files and I doubled checked the one on the server against the original and they are identical so that's just a false positive)

    Try rebooting your phone and see if that fixes it. Based on Park Bantams comment I'm wondering if something is being deployed via an external site and is hijacking a certain page element here (maybe the ad code) and triggering the popup and rebooting is clearing the cookie or cached item that's delivering the payload.

    Hold down the power button and after a few seconds you will get a page saying 'Slide across to power off'. When its fully powered off just hold the power button again until it starts to boot back up
