Can't agree. There are only a very limited number of managers' jobs available in the EFL at any one time - all out of work managers put their CVs in for whatever job is going.

 

If I thought I was the best player on the pitch for us at that time, so would I. Storming off isn't always about negatives - it can also be about passion and frustration.

 

I was more talking about someone who is looking to make the step up (like T&S did), but could be put off by what's happened, and prefers to sit in their current job until a better offer comes along.
Anyway - my whole point was, that I think its pretty disorganised behind the scenes, and hopefully RS can slow down a bit and make wise decisions rather than rash ones. Looking at what he did today, I feel he's now the former rather than the latter. Next step - correct gaffer in the hotseat!

 

True but it didn't come over like that on the commentary as I recall, though I had lost quite a bit of interest by then. There have been a number of indications that all wasn't well behind the scenes though, going back a couple of months.

Yes I said it was the wrong call to give the a permanent contract, it should have been you keep the job until the end of the season and we review the situation then.
Ryan spoke about players downing tools you would think he would have taken that into consideration and I'm sure he did, I got a PM from a fellow poster saying there was unrest in the camp, we could see with Rowe things weren't right, Mark said he told Danny he was in his plans going forward but never brought him on against Tranmere although we were losing the game.

You've always been consistent on this Dave. I wasn't. Got carried away by T&S's early run and said they should get a longer contract. I was wrong.

I think it’ll be Wellens. Other names I’d hope we’ve considered would be Flynn, Taylor, Duff, Adams. Possibly Kenny Jackett

 

That depends on the vision. Our ceiling is clearly higher than Morecambe’s - if we can ever find a way to properly realise it. I’d image we can compete with whatever wages they’ll give him in League One. Much will depend on whether we have a proper, credible and financed plan to get this club to where it was 4 years ago, at least. And who knows, maybe there’ll be a bit of money coming in this summer....
