When they took over from Stuart they had to stop the rot which they did with Novak ,Cooke, Hossannah and Staunton in the team playing a part, we were in a very dangerous league position and picking up results/points it's hard to change a winning formation, even though their set up as been commented on many times on here (including myself) we continued to get results.
The football has not been great under these two rookies, they are doing fine in most fans eyes that's not a pop at yourself, they will be under scrutiny for sure next season one way or the other, if we did get lucky and finish in league one they have to get a squad that can get us into a mid table position, and if were still in league two they will be expected to deliver a promotion especially with what they have achieved at the club in less than 6 months.

I certainly aren’t taking it as a pop mate, I’ve said all along they’ve done a fantastic job from where we were and maybe in a perverse way are victims of their own success, standards may not be as demanding if we stayed up ending 4th or 5th bottom. I certainly wouldn’t argue with their record regarding points, although I think we’ve ridden our luck a lot at times, the blatant penalty Walsall didn’t get and Mansfield missing and absolute sitter come to mind in the middle of our winning run.

My main concern is the performances as I actually think they were better when they first took over, maybe nothing to lose mentality? Now we here Trueman talking about not wanting to lose(after Bolton) and yesterday didn’t want to risk 3 points against bottom of the league who were down to 10 men. To me that’s just negative and it’s coming out on the pitch as well, I think it’s important to have a set formation and square pegs in square holes not doing that is what cost Stuart his job. But I just can’t enjoy this football at all, similar to under Bowyer even when he was going well. If others can fair enough but we’ll see come December time if we’re see that week in week out and freezing our backsides off and if results tail off how quickly people change.

As I said earlier though hopefully new players in the summer and a full pre season will bring a more positive mind set within the squad and make the football less of a chore to watch, which would make my concerns a mute point. Because I’d love them to succeed but playing like this long term I don’t see it, and I think it’s harder when fans are in the ground especially somewhere like here where demands are high.

Just how do you know that they will get found out next season Fordy?
They are young up and coming new coaches who I would hope will be learning. They aren't set in their ways through years in the game. The signings that we made i January were about staying up. Cook and Rowe are players who know how to find the back of the net but at their age they are hardly long term signings.
I will judge them after the summer signings and the first 20 games of next season. Whoever we brought in as manager it would have been a gamble. I want just the same as you for the club but it's too early to judge.

I just think it’s now never for them.

    I give them till Christmas.

Results have gone great but performances poor. It won’t last.

Performances have generally been poor because we've got a limited squad, still a bit unbalanced due to the January recruitment being about staying up. After the bad start we had too much to do.
I don't even give until Christmas. With summer signings, especially in midfield I will judge them in the run up to Christmas, we will know by then if Trueman and Sellars have what it takes but I am not making a judgement on them now.

If City have a poor summer transfer window and are outside the play offs in December with poor or indifferent performances every game, no matter who the manager is there would be calls for them to go. It’s the way football is today, it’s not a reflection of T&S, if Liverpool hadn’t won the title last year Klopp would be getting it in the neck now,

When you have proven yourself then you get more time.

However, amazing how Ole at Man Utd who has won nothing is getting a new contract. I suppose that's how low Man Utd's standards are now.

Next season is massive for this club and we can't afford to be messing about. Some decent proven managers available and it will be before December they get the boot if we are outside the play offs in December.

We want automatic if we don't go up this. Plays offs not good enough.

Bradford City as a club urgently needs to start applying some standards.

Some posters have suggested that we should start applying some standards here on BT! ;)

    Let's live in the past.

Times have changed. Man Utd are a failure of a club at this moment. Sir Alex was one of the best managers the world has seen but if you think Ollie is going to turn that way then you are a joker.

Well if you think finishing second in the premiership is failure there is no hope for the other 90 pro clubs

For Man Utd it certainly is!!

Damn you have no standards do you?

Many people McCall, Rhodes and others feel Bradford City should be a championship club. Honestly what do you think? What is success in your eyes for Bradford City?

See currently I see this season for Bradford City as a failure!

As a club on and off the pitch Bradford City is a failure!

I agree that every season spent in this league is a failure but that doesn’t mean it’s easy to get out it isn’t. If we are not promoted this season then it’s a failure but not down to the present management. Success would be getting into the championship

Manchester United don’t need to win the title to make money. That’s what matters to their owners.

    This is true.

What matters to Bradford City then?

Most football owners are rich mate. Rupp isn't short of money.
