    Yeah, it wasn’t a great set up. Adams was just managing minutes. Cooke and Scales pushed up, Watt and Sutton moved into CM and Gillead moved right where Vernam was. Ineffective, although we did have a few chances at the death

    Hopefully Staunton has given Adams something to think about with his performance tonight. Not sure he’s an Arsenal (or whoever) target but I have been a bit surprised by his absence this season.

    It’s a shame and he comes out with a decent amount of credit after tonight’s performance. However in reality he’s some way off the starting XI.

    If either Canavan or POC are injured Songo’o looks to be the first choice replacement. I could see Staunton potentially playing in a 3 CBs however still think Song’o gets the nod before him. Ironically right now the only position I can see his closest chance is at LB whilst Ridealgh is out, however Foulds has been decent so far so deserves that spot.

    The best thing for him now is as game time as possible for a month out on loan. Hope that and performances like tonight put him in good stead for more chances in the future.
