Danny Andrew has been released by Stockport. He 34 and he was only signed a short term deal in the summer, but he can play LWB and LCB....... surely we cant bring in yet another lad from Stockport? Even if they were only there for a cuppa.

Stockport fans aren't too happy about it, seems like he looked decent there in his few cameos for the club.

He's joining their u21s so most likely to be used as an extended trial with a view to making the move permanent in January if he does well.

I think the Stockport link isnt relevant...he wont really know any of our Stockport boys apart from Powell. Just circumstantial.

As a LWB/CB he would tick a box. Worked with Alexander at Fleetwood - that said didnt favour him a decade ago!

 

Looks like he's played with Sarcevic, Halliday & Powell and as you say has worked with GA before. Wouldn't be a shock move i suppose given where he plays.
