Yer, maybe CB. Someone who could play centrally if Wright is out or suspended or being rotated. It seems the order is Wright - Tilt - ?? For the central slot and then moving Tilt in means Kelly plays left which feels a bit weaker particularly if Kelly isnt able to improve the passing side of his game. RCB we have Byrne and Baldwin or Wright could play there and Tilt central if needed.

 

The problem is that it's generally not knocked off the players salary and the top agents also tend to get paid at both ends which is scandalous.

 

Don't forget Pennington who plays on the right.

Alexander didn't say he was here for rehab, he said they are treating him as a rehab player i.e. treating him the same way we would treat any player coming back from an injury by not overloading them and taking it session by session as he's not played for a while and not had much of a pre-season. Alexander said that we he could be available now as a squad player if they wanted but they would rather take it a bit slower so they don't set him back

I expect we'll see outward movement. Wilson, Smith, Odour all need to go, but I wouldn't be surprised to see any of Halliday, Lapslie or Kavanagh move out, possibly on loan.

I think the extra body will likely be another CB. Or possibly cover for Power - we don't have any other defensive midfielders at the club. Or possibly a player who could provide cover for both positions.

 

Defensive midfield player for me. Power hasn't played a full season in England for a long time, surely we are not expecting him to have an appearance record to match Smallwood last season?

 

The way we are playing especially at Valley Parade I'd think 20,000+ will be a regular attendance this season so we must be taking a few bob in POTD fans ?.

Not sure about Kav, when fit he does the high pressure game better than anyone IMO thing was with Andy out there wasn't as much pressure on him as for some reason Alexander was reluctant to start Mellon or Lapslie on a regular basis, the question now is does Kav have the will to do it in training and get his starting place back ?.
