    Very low risk which is why I am slightly disappointed, we haven't been in such a buoyant position as a club for quite a few years and does Powell bring anything we haven't already got? I would have loved us to make a really ambitious statement from this position of strength - but welcome to City Nick and all the very best for your time with us

    Looks like Lapslie is further down the pecking order then. Surprised we’ve signed him given we have plenty of options for the no. 10 role. That is what he is isn’t it?

    I don't think I've missed anyone, if I've not then this is the squad as things stand, With Smith, Wilson and Oduor not included I make it that we've got 21 outfield players over 21 so got space to 1 more if we want to use the space before needing to offload a current squad player.

    Certainly got a pedigree, and isn’t as old as I thought, but can’t see him starting games. Perhaps he’s been brought in for his experience and game time will be mostly impact sub.

    Very little i can see on how fit he is but Alexander won't play him till he's 100% anyway so if he's somewhere close it could be a couple of weeks before he come on anyway

    I was thinking about this yesterday from a slightly different angle of when was the last time we went through a transfer window without making a loan signing and it was nowhere near as long ago as I thought, we went through the 21/22 summer window signing 10 players and none of them were loans.
