I think Pearson would be poor and lazy recruitment. Was a decent aggressive defender in his day but having watched him quite a lot over the last 2 years, his legs have absolutely gone. Technically he’s horrendous too.

Hull fans said same about Smallwood. That said he dropped 2 divisions but legs seem just fine.

My mate's a Town season ticket holder and has been for donkey's years. He says that Pearson is decent at this level. Nothing spectacular but dependable. Ward, on the other hand, is completely shot and we'd do well to avoid him completely.

A decent player League One shouldn't be a problem for him but as you say we've been near before, didn't Parky try to sign him many years ago?.
