If Dara Costelloe is worth £500k, I'm pretty sure Bobby is worth more than that

So am I , but Costello is not worth what he has just gone for and goes to show the madness of football transfer fees

Pointon 6 in 40 league 2 Costello 6 in15 league 1. I’d wait and see if Pointon can’t make the step up first

 

So what do we all reckon is going on with Richards? New deal signed but not announced yet or he's moving on?

 

I don’t know but looks like a lot of time and effort has gone into a player who in his first year looked a good stone over weight. Second year injured slot ok some of that was luck, but still wouldn’t be busting a gut for him afraid.

 

Pointon played four league games and two pre season games for Brighouse Town in those six games he scored five goals ( four in four games) plus had assists ( I am sure you watched these games).
For the six months Pointon was at Liversedge ( November 22 to May 23 ) he appeared in four/five games for them and did not score a goal.
During the loan period game time was limited due to the bad weather/ pitches ( Nov- Dec),
In January of 2023 Bobby fractured his foot while training with Bradford City, and was in a surgical boot until April.
If Bobby was struggling as you say at these two clubs then we must have been watching two Bobby Pointons.

 

You are asking a Bradford fan. Ask fans from the other 23 teams in L1 and get a proper answer. Majority will say 'who'?

One is L1 proven and one isnt. Dont argue with facts when discussing who is worth more.

 

Regardless, down in the 6th and 7th tiers. Ameen streets ahead at same age.

My reply was to your reference to struggling at Brighouse and Liversedge there is nothing to suggest that he struggled at tiers 6 and 7, I have never compared Pointon to Ameen or any other player I am more than happy to leave that to you.

 

It was more about struggling to play league football and break into City team.

Im a big Bobby fan. But seems some want to change history.

 

Broad shoulders needed at times on here, but its all in good humour.
