Summer 2025 transfer rumours

At the fixture release event today Sparks said another signing was incoming, likely early next week. He asked the audience what area they thought we needed and he spoke about the forward line was in focus while also saying all areas are still in their thoughts. He also added that the loan market was now gaining traction.

Believe it was someone in here that raised the point about most (if not all) of our transfers being free and whether it could mean we’ve got a stash ready for a striker.

I wonder if this means that Neufville will be playing higher up the pitch than further back. Also thinking about it, Neufville has replaced Benn, maybe Hunt will be Johnson's replacement? It's another experienced head in the dressing room though, with promotion wins and plenty of championship experience/games at some big clubs in Sheffield Wednesday and Bristol City. We still need an experienced striker, maybe a loan one as well, plus a defensive midfielder to cover Power. Unless we see Pattison playing there, but even he's had injury issues in the past.

 

Not sure we need an experienced striker? Just a decent one haha! Cooks got the experience I’d like a pacy one

 

Wouldn't have thought a 34 year old right back is a priority

 

You aren’t meant to…. It’s likely for an NFL quarterback.

 

They are free in the sense of we haven’t paid a fee to another club, however they aren’t free in the sense that enticements in the form of signing-on fees or enhanced wages would be sizeable to beat other clubs to signatures.
