Nahki wouldn't be asked to play the Agyei role either really, DA played more the Sarce role than a striker at Orient. That's assuming we stick with this tactic long term? Worth nothing Mansfield and Stockport changed tactic last season towards the second half, Wrexham changed their forward line up often between 1 AM and 2 FWDs or 2 AMs and 1 FWD. The successful L2 sides ended up having to alter what worked for them in L2 after promotion, there might well be times we need a fox in the box to just stay up front if things aren't going our way.

The other thing is, theres probably no better free agent (achievable) out there for Kav to learn his trade from. Wells could be a great monitor on the training ground for Kav, teaching him when and where to be in the box. We've never really had another striker of the Kav mode since he came. A year learning under a bloke whos been around the CH level most his career could be great down the line.

Crichlow signed for Barnet. Tipped them for back to back promotion about a month back, still sticking to it.

Some positive quotes from both the club and owner, I can't believe we could get anywhere near what Nahki could command, but this is football, could Rupp dig deep with an offer of a 12 month contract, could he do a Billy Sharp for us.

Im not convinced. Wells is a far superior talent and while he has more miles on the clock, he still produced a better return in the Championship last season.

Plus Wells is an out and out striker. If he fires us into the play offs its worked out better financially than Aygei.

Aygei is a nice addition, Wells is a marquee. A shirt seller and a ticket seller.

Either Aygei or Wells would be fantastic upgrades, I can't see either until they're through the door but both make total footballing sense.

I maybe over thinking this, but first day of pre-season usually has more photos put on the socials doesn't it? Are they waiting to announce something first I wonder before releasing more training photos. My guess would be Kelly and Richards.

That would be a good move for him but so would City. Imagine Birmingham would rather keep him and loan him out again so they don’t miss out like they did with Jobe.
Even taking emotion out of it, Nahki would be a coup for any league 1 team. A championship play-off sides main striker and their best according to Bristol City fans

Also watched them a fair bit as George Earthy was on loan there. Thought Wells was more than decent.

I can't see Wells coming back to us not after the way it ended last time.

It’s all water under the bridge. He did what was right for him at the time and I don’t know why people are still bitter about it.

Doesn’t Wells usually play in a two upfront system can he lead the line or would we have to change our system to accommodate him no matter how good he still is

The point you are misssing maybe is NOT that he left, anyone with a brain should get that , it’s HOW he left . Likely feigned injury and it MUST be Huddersfield . Those hurt the supporters not someone wanting to better themselves .
