Looking at the front 3 options, there isn't really any out and out pace is there? Tyreik probably the only one?

 

Shepherd - have another go, Barnsley in the crap financially
Fornah/Collar - either do. Fornah more possible
Agyei - another option up top

No, I totally agree. In fact, im the opposite when folk say "just get rid of him". Well, you can't!

 

Unless a club is “ helped” to take em on loan we and other clubs are stuck. Just look at Man U and their largess on poor players?

 

At the moment its tough because of all the freebies floating around.

But as Ive said before...we got Kelleher, Osadebe, Angol et al off our books for small fees so its very possible. May just take time.

 

MK apparently are in talks with Collar, they are throwing money about like its going out of fashion so wouldn't be a surprise.

 

Move down south wanted too. We would need agents Sarc, Byrne, Touray and a fat salary.

There was an article from a Salford outlet, that stated that Tilt is solid in the middle of a back 3, or in a back 4. He struggles however on either side of a back 3, as his limitations are exposed. GA will be aware of this so id say it’s safe to say he’l play in the middle.

As for the left side, I’m assuming that Kelly will re-sign as deputy, and a new LCB will be brought in to play as a starter

 

Location might have been what swung things in our favour with Humphrys. He's from Oldham so might have wanted to stay up north.

 

Just as likely imo that if Kelly signs, he'll be first choice and we'll bring in a young loanee as his deputy. People might not agree with that but GA seems to really rate him.

 

I’d disagree with GA , hey who am I . Kelly is average L2 imho.

 

I dont mind Kelly, he's a solid defender, solid in the air. Maybe a little slow, gets caught out positionally at times too and wonders wide but I suppose its the trust in the LWB that helps too.

I think we are done for CBs unless Byrne is moved on, or we get a young lad on loan. It will be 3 of Wright, Baldwin, Tilt & Kelly with the other on the bench.

 

He was really good when I saw salford play, big, physical and mobile CM. If we got him agyei and another CB (shepherd but not likely) we wouldn't be far away. More incoming then would be dependent of departures for me. If we could get a couple out like odour, wilson, smith, maybe loan goodman out, that's when you could get a couple of decent loans in from higher up

 

I wonder if Goodman will be the Kelly backup?

 

GA may rate him but I think even he knows that we need better quality in League One. I am confident that another CB will be coming in. The fact we were rumoured with the likes of Wallace suggests that we aren’t done in that department

 

Just a thought not a rumour, would this be good cover as a proper centre forward, seen as Cook won't be back until later on in the season and that we released Oliver.
