But didn't we use £400k of the money on Aaron McLean with a 3 yr deal? We probably made a net gain and helped our cash flow, but not a huge amount of cash in the long run. Up there with the Scott Banks substitution for me.

Then we ended up with McLean. I think we paid him up his last year he was so poor.

 

I heard he got a lump sum of £250k. That didnt cover his remaining contract but was enough for him to clear off and look elsewhere.

 

We did alright taking the transfer as a whole with add ons

 

Anyone else heard Ibou Touray to sign tomorrow? Left back released from Stockport.

 

I mentioned a few pages ago that a Stockport fan on another forum had linked him with us.

Haven't heard since but perhaps it has legs.

 

Looks like he is prepared to wait to see who the new manager is before signing a deal with Bristol City.

Yeah I’ve heard that one too, played under Alexander at Salford too. Turned down a contract at Stockport , haven’t heard he was announced tomorrow but had heard it was done , but would make sense with it been the forum

 

Get him and his mate Will Collar both in from Stockport and I will be happy with that

Sparks has said we are battling for many quality signings with the other ambitious clubs in league 1. Lets see what comes through the doors over the next few weeks as we all know, actions speak louder than words.

 

I assume that Matty Pearson has priced himself out of a deal with us then.
