Agree Kev but look at Beagrie. The only reason we got him was because of long term knee injuries and if i remember rightly, he was fairly decent.

At the end of the day we aren't getting anyone with huge talent without a risk and I suppose the only way to get these players is the odd risk (and only the odd risk!) now and again to hope it pays off.

I'm not saying Banks is that risk, just making a point that sometimes it might be worth the gamble.

 

Sparks referred to getting players on loan from abroad in his interview, which was interesting as it's not something you would expect him to say.

Same with Andrew Davies, no way would have ever been at Valley Parade had it not been for circumstances.

 

I can't see us taking loan players from Ireland. Time will tell.

He's played just 170 minutes of football in over 2 since since he was subbed against Carlisle. That ligament injury has been an absolute killer for his career progress so far.

He wasn't an out and out pace merchant winger for us, so i reckon he could play one of the 2 supporting forward roles pretty well. A few week back i saw Wigan were linked with him, Paudie & Mullin all in a short space of time.

I'd suggest Stuart coming back as a player during Richmond's time worked very well, him playing a massive part in taking us to the Premier League ?.

Absolutely ….The point for me is can the club afford that gamble at this early stage of a new division. The opposite risk , as you say can also pay off. In this instance I’m far from sure?
