Summer 2025 transfer rumours

I mentioned Watmore a few weeks ago, good pedigree and a decent wide forward. As he is ex Boro we have a chance eh.

Its worth £12.5 million in lease money over 25 years though and then some if a possible purchase on that cards.

 

Duncan Watmore is a 1 in 6 games striker , city need better if they want to avoid the drop back to league 2 .

 

He's not a striker and he's played his whole career at higher levels than league 1.

Ihiekwe has joined Blackpool.
Him and Horsfall as the centre back pairing.

 

I think we should leave the grading of signings to Monkey. Don't you?

 

He certainly would be a great addition and another option

 

Chesterfield fans confident he will sign permanently for them.

Doubt he is a GA type player. Very skilful winger but not good tracking back or pressing.

He could do far better than them. Id be surprised.

Nippy but physically not what we want imo.

 

He's roughly the same build as Pointon so I'm not having that. We need players like that who can produce magic out of nowhere to win us a game. It would be a great signing and on a free transfer.

 

Markandy would be a great player for us, and the type of maverick player every club needs. We don't need to have a squad full of them but he has so much potential at this level. There's some relative classy bargains to be had if the club decides it wants to carry on the momentum a promotion brings. Unfortunately I don't think our club has ever tried to go for back to back successful seasons and I can't see us trying now
