Good pedigree, but for a lad of 27 he's only played 130 or so League games, do you have any background on the lad @Interested Bystander ?.

A striker, but equally at home at centre half, can cover both full back positions and defensive midfield. Believe he also started his career as a goal keeper.

 

After 45 years of following city I have enough contacts to know the good the bad. And the ugly

Blackburn could have triggered a one year contract extension but have chosen to release Dilan Markandey so he's going somewhere I certainly wouldn't rule out a move by us.

 

No thank you. Never been good enough for league 1 in his career. May have been a chance for that if we were still in league 2

Grading the incomings...seem fair? Its been a decent start. Appreciate its only on paper....

Are you basing these grades on watching their performances or just chucking a guess out there?

 

I'd give Wright an A to be honest. Back to back POTY in Scotland, looking at clips there isn't much he doesn't win. Tilt probably a C, if we'd had picked him up 2 years ago I'd be all over it. But after watching bits of him at Salford and reading their fans replies, my fear with Tilt is the legs have gone. And the common theme from Salfords end was that he was so clumsy and lazy the second half of the season with the odd moment when you see why he was a CH/L1 defender for so long.

Power, i have no idea to be honest. If he's the guy Wigan had, awesome signing. But anyone who barely plays for 2 seasons, its impossible to know what level they are still at. Hopefully he gets back to speed really quickly.

 

Agreed on Power, no idea about Wright as have never seen him play but think he'll be decent from what I've heard.

Tilt is gash, I'd have him as a D. No way he is good enough for our style of football in League One.

 

People do watch other teams than Bradford City you know. I don't see why this is such a surprise to some

I think based on his resume its a B. Played for some good clubs at a good level. And captain material. Last 2 years a blot but he got that bad injury in Saudi, captained them until injured and they got promoted.

Obviously can only judge on paper now so my grades are on the quality of the signing, not performances. But im very satisfied with our business so far.

 

Tilt......a strange one for sure. However, I would like to see what he can do compared to Kelly. I've always been unsure of Kelly and no disrespect to the lad but for me he is no more than a League 2 player, hoofs it clear, gets the good odd tackle in etc but certainly lacks the skill to play in League 1.
We will see!!

 

Very very poor distribution, 9/10 way over hit.

 

Technically id argue Kelly is the least gifted player with the ball in the team. His passing is abysmal and it looks like it’s beyond coaching to me. Get rid. Far better players have been chopped in the past.

 

Surprised we haven't been linked to Kayden Jackson yet. Local lad and he's been linked once or twice over the last few windows on random twitter pages. He's at Derby but it's far to say his returns just aren't good enough for CH. He played in all 46 games in the CH for them last season, but clearly wasn't fancied as the season went on. He played the full 90 in 11 of the first 15 matches into November, then didn't play 90 again for the rest of the season.

Saw someone on a Facebook group suggest we should look at Duncan Watmore. Ex-Boro is probably the main reason, recently released by Millwall.
