I'll admit I'll miss Shepherd not being there. Just summat about the lad, I think he has championship potential.

 

I think Barnsley know that RT? They have seen him develop under us no end .

 

The fact is there was no mention anywhere from Parker to Raynor or even the club that 2 deals were lined up yet my source said there would be. You and your mate claimed my info was BS yet has turned out to be on the money. The only reason Smallwood isn't here is because his agent and himself wanted two years and I openly admitted I thought it was a done deal and things were sorted but in the end the club weren't prepared to offer more than one year something I alluded to from the start . Yet when the club refused to budge Smallwood was willing to accept those terms but the club decided to move on. Wrongly IMO but that's what happend sadly.

However I will keep gladly trusting my source if they give me any more info but if you or anyone else doesn't want to believe it so be it I couldn't careless.

 

Yeah, but 2 years with the option of a third is a bit much imo

 

There was definitely mention of it in the T&A. Parker is on holiday so it must have been his stand in.

 

Didn't we pay a fee for Wright?

Let's hope so as I posted no team in our position should be paying a transfer fee for a player that can't be a regular starter, I'd hope that was the case even knowing it would be more than likely Leigh would be playing football in League One this season.

 

Been rumoured for over a week, daily record first time I saw mentioned.

 

The way he went about his game to say where the kid had come from a couple of years previously, if he continues to progress Barnsley have as you say a player who could quite easily be capable of Championship football.

 

Parker mentioned in his article last week that one guy was going to be announced earlier in the week and things would pick up this week. Certainly noise out there about more than 1 signing this week.

 

Looking forward to seeing what we sign in the striker department. Threadbare at the moment, only Kav and an injured Andy Cook. That and a replacement for Smallwood as we don't have that sort of player.

To clarify it was the first time I'd seen Wright mentioned was in the Daily Record. I think the club might be looking at telling signings to wait until the unveiling before following the club on social media, been a tip off for the last two signings.

 

Of the two I would think the fee we paid for Leigh would he far the greater MK Dons would have wanted to recoup some of the money they paid for him, but as it was undisclosed we'll never know.

 

It's quite rare, in the recent history of watching City, that we see a player who looks as though they have the potential to play at a higher level. Shepherd is definitely one.

 

Fair play to Barnsley for giving the lad his chance. Very rare someone comes from anywhere but the academies these days.

 

Wright never has been a LWB, tried and failed at Plymouth and to be honest, not much good in that position at City .
