Less than 20 transfers this week noted by the BBC in the entire EFL.

We cant always vouch for accuracy but crikey, that’s sloooow.

 

Don't expect it to pick up until later in month as players get ready for pre season training

Well thats just it, they do. Tapping up is against the rules but you cant stop players doing a clubs bidding.

 

Reckon it will pick up in the next week or so. A lot of teams will be back in training w/c 23rd, you'd like to think the clubs would want a decent amount turning up for day 1?

Not a huge group at the minute turning up for our day 1, looks like as it stands we have 17/18 depending on Cook? (Halliday, Byrne, Kav, Cook?, Sarce, Oduor, Smith, Baldwin, Pattison, Wright, Pointon, Hilton, Lapslie, Wilson, Lee, Power & Tilt. Plus Huntington was invited back to train and i guess the outskirts young lads from the academy will train too).

 

It's not really the transfer window is it. This is a short transfer window they have opened specifically due to clubs competing in the world club challenge, although anybody can still make signings in this window. The proper transfer window opens in properly in 16th June.

 

It makes little difference tbh. It’s players shopping around as others have said. The date fix is a fiddle for wealthy clubs, not plebs like us.

 

We need to be moving on at least 4 off that list and bring in more quality.

 

why would we have ? He’s still got a year left.

I can see us signing one and possibly holding onto Smith for now. Did ok at Barrow by all accounts...may at least hold on until Cook is fully fit.

Cook, Kavanagh, plus 1 legit striker and Smith lurking in the shadows might just be enough until January anyway.

Id rather go all out and get someone in for a fee, on a high wage with proven quality than bring in 2 strikers if inferior quality. Eggs in one basked for me where striker concerned.

 

Paul Mullin season long loan would be good. I can't imagine he will be a Wrexham regular and they won't want rid. Rumoured £10k a week which could be a stumbler.... 60/40 split?

This is all purely made up, but probably possible and buys time to buy our own striker to replace Cooky long term.

Haven’t seen any rumours linking us with strikers Sparks was saying in the podcasts Loans are going to be important for us this year maybe a striker will be among them. Lowe would be good but Huddersfield who seem to be putting a good team together and Wycombe seem to be favourites for his signature

 

He was on 10k a week in L1..... with his promotion clause boost he'll probably be on 12k-13k now. He's nowhere near good enough for the Champ, they'll need to move him on an PP will know that.

 

Will Herr Rupp want to deal with PP after his acrmanious exit ? (I know it was more Rahic by the way)
