This made me chuckle as I was thinking the same!

 

I thought I'd read somewhere that our squad went to Ibiza while the management went to another Balearic island, maybe Mallorca. (A bit like you going to a campsite in Cornwall with some of your mates to have a bit of a laugh one summer, and your parents rock up at a different site a couple of miles down the road, "just in case you need us". Not that that happened to me. Ahem.)

I saw it on the Bradford city fans facebook page. Can’t find it now it might have been withdrawn. If there is any truth in it I would suggest it was done in jest or perhaps he was in drink

What I do know is Matty Pearson's contract runs out on 30th June while Joe Wright the Kilmarnock target is now a free agent his contract expired on 31st May.
So obviously Wright before Pearson if they are to put pen to paper officially.

 

He wasnt though, he was still under contract, set for negotiations and was on a holiday paid for by the club to celebrate our promotion. And doing it as captain, in front of his team mates, then GA was right to make an example of him.

IF the story is true mind.

 

If the club was that bothered about him staying they'd have offered something already. Given there was just weeks until he was officially unemployed I don't blame him one bit for maximising his options.

I get what you're saying about a paid club trip and suggesting he should be loyal but that disappeared from football decades ago and putting our support of the club aside, he needs to do what's best for him and his family, not what's best for a random employer for 3 years.
