    Given we need to upgrade several of our CBs this summer - whether promoted or not - I’ll start.

    JT - on the released list at Norwich.

    No thanks on JT from Norwich.

    He was ok last season, but I don't see him as an upgrade on what we have now. Need better.

    Getting the ball rolling Petrov. I’m sure if the thread rolls up as big as the last one lots of fresh names will appear. Just mentioning JT as saw the Yorkshire Post article saying him and Angus Gunn - linked with Leeds - have been released.

    In my opinion JT might be a more stylish footballer than Kelly, but Kelly is a more effective defender.
    I did actually quite like JT but he needs to have kicked on.

    I guess so yeah, though very different types of defenders.

    Still maintain we'd need better than JT in L1 if we get there.

    I've seen that elsewhere too. He was getting a lot of City-related stick after a recent game. Assume he made some sort of mistake or played particularly poorly.

    Surely it’s time for Nahki to return. He has led the line for Bristol City for quite a bit of the season - not sure his contract status ( all tongue in cheek)….

    If we go up, the squad needs proper surgery. We've got glaring holes all over the pitch and a noticeable lack of quality in certain areas.

    I know nothing about him but he does look like a bit of a big/nasty type when I’ve seen him in highlights. Something we don’t have at the moment at the back.

    I think you're right. He lives near my brother in law out near Haworth somewhere as he's said he recognises him walking about every now and again. Maybe 10 years ago, I stayed in the same hotel as Pearson and his missus, only recognised him as I'd signed him on champ man.

    I was given a rumour by a York fan at work yesterday but he fed me nonsense ones last season so not really believing it. But anyway, he said at the last few home games there's been a guy in a Bradford tracksuit top making notes all game and thinks he's a scout and thinks we've been watching Daniel Batty (DM) and Ollie Pearce (ST). Batty was linked before I think? He was at Hull with Smallwood. And Pearce is a machine this season, 30 goals and 10 assists from 44 in NL, last season he scored 40 with 13 assists in the NLS, he is nearly 30.
